Stampin’ Up! Perennial Essence and A Little Lace

Good Friday morning, my peeps!  Hope the week has treated you well!  And that the weekend is fixin’ to do the same!

For those of you who ordered Catalog shares – the goodies are IN THE HOUSE!  And I’m chopping and cutting and packaging!  Will get everyone’s paper and embellishments on the way quick as I can! 🙂

Now – our card for today puts the fun A Little Lace stamp set on top of some beautiful Perennial Essence DSP.  With a piece of “lace” (really a die cut from the new Stitched Lace Die set which is bundled with A Little Lace – for a 10% savings!).  Take a look-see:

And I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps this week to inspire my layout.

I started by matting some beautiful Perennial Essence DSP on Mossy Meadow card stock for the card front.

The next layer is Very Vanilla – which I cut with the two dies in the new Stitched Lace Die set.  First I cut the large panel – then I used the “edge” die to cut the scalloped edge on all four sides.  I adhered the “piece of lace” to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut two lengths of Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon and adhered them in a “x” with Glue Dots.

On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the large image from A Little Lace in Petal Pink using my Stamparatus.  Also with the Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.  Then I cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die – and I popped it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Pearl Basic Jewel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added the A Little Lace image in Petal Pink on a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

\My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another A Little Lace flower on the front…

…and more of the Perennial Essence DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow!  I LOVE this Stitched Lace Die – don’t you??  It means you can make all sorts of beautiful lace accents for all your projects.  And it’s perfect with it’s bundled A Little Lace stamp set – AND the totally unrelated Perennial Essence DSP!  How fun is that??  I hope you like!

New 3D Embossing Folder Now Available!

The new 3D Embossing Folder Plate (item 149658) is now available to order! It’s designed to work with our new-style 3D embossing folders (which are thinner than our old-style Dynamic folders).

You can click on the picture above and open the flyer – then print it and keep it by your embossing machine and new 3D Embossing Folder Plate.  It’s got your new “sandwich” information right on it!

Remember that carryover 3D embossing folders will not be available to order at the start of the new catalog but I’ll let you know when they’re available to order.

Also keep in mind that we expect to receive staggered plate shipments in all markets during June and July as we build inventory. Which means, you may experience periods of time when it is unavailable to order if inventory is depleted; it will become available to order again when inventory is replenished.

How to Use the New Plate

The new plate makes up the difference in measurement between our old-style Dynamic Folders and our new-style 3D Folders in most die-cutting machines. The 3D Embossing Folder Plate replaces the Standard Cutting Pads in your 3D embossing folder sandwich for continued high-quality emboss results.

To create your emboss sandwich:

  • Use a die-cutting & embossing machine platform as a base; no matter which machine you’re using, use the standard platform which comes with your machine.
  • Use the 3D Embossing Folder with your paper in the middle.
  • Then use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate on top.

Given the differences in machines and platforms, you may still have to add a shim to get your desired embossing results. (You can also spritz your paper before embossing to maximize your embossed impressions.)

Without the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate, you will need to use several shims with the Standard Cutting Pad in your 3D embossing folder sandwich, depending on the die-cutting & embossing machine you use. Most machines will need between three to five sheets of cardstock to shim. Please be careful in how you shim; start out with fewer sheets first, then add sheets to get your desired results.  Stampin’ Up! won’t be responsible for replacing products broken due to using a sandwich which is too thick for a machine.
