Stampin’ Up! Handwritten Parcels & Petals Sneak Peek

Good mornin’, y’all!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you’re enjoying your long weekend.  And remembering WHY we have one! 😉

For this one, I pulled out a sweet little bundle from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog (can you believe it’s less than two weeks away – 9 days, to be exact!) called Parcels & Petals.  And I paired it with the Handwritten background stamp set – which is carrying over (meaning you can get it right now!).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge.

And the color scheme comes from the Sunday Stamps color challenge.

I started by stamping a piece of Crumb Cake card stock using the Handwritten stamp, inked in Crumb Cake.  I stamped the panel – larger than I needed – then trimmed it down to size.  I matted it on new Terracotta Tile card stock (one of the new 2019-2021 In Colors coming on 4 June!) for the card front.

I used a little Liquid Glue and Glue Dots (on the back) and added a length of new 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Terracotta Tile across the bottom of the card front.

For the decorative die cut – I used the die in the bundled Perfect Parcels Die set to cut once in Pretty Peacock and a second time in Terracotta Tile.  I also used the outline die to cut an outline in Crumb Cake.  That’s hard to describe, but you can see it in the video!  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the two more intricate die cuts to the Crumb Cake “backer”.  Then I adhered it with Liquid Glue to the ribbon and card front.

On a piece of Terracotta Tile, I stamped the Parcels & Petals sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, using my Stamparatus.  Then I cut it with the label die in the Perfect Parcels set.

I trimmed the label with some of the new Sahara Sand 5/8″ Woven Threads Trim.  I pulled off the top thread to create “tassels” – then adhered them to the back of the die cut with Liquid Glue!  Then I popped the whole thing on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock and that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Parcels & Petals in Tuxedo Black on a Very Vanilla panel.  I added a little fluer-de-do in Terracotta Tile and a Pretty Peacock Faceted Dot.  Finally, I cut a strip of new 2019-2021 In Color DSP – the design with the handwritten look – in Terracotta Tile, matted it on Terracotta Tile and adhered it across the bottom.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Terracotta Tile mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some Parcels & Petals fleur-de-do’s across the bottom in Terracotta Tile…

…and some more of the cool new 2019-2020 In Color DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What a fun bundle this Parcels & Petals set is – I love that it can be made feminine or masculine simply by changing the “icing”!  The dies in the Perfect parcels set are really fun.  And – Handwritten is a favorite that I am very happy is carrying over!  I hope you like!
