Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds Sneak Peek

Happy Happy HAWWWP Day!!  Hope your week is going well!

My card today is a colorful and fun one – a little outside my wheelhouse cuz it’s bright AND Clean-And-Simple!  It showcases a fun new stamp/punch bundle in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog called Above the Clouds!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s FUSION challenge sketch.

And the fun color scheme hails from the As You See It color challenge.

I started with some Powder Pink polka-dot paper from the 2017-2019 In Colors DSP Stack and matted it on Basic Black for the card front.

On a strip of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Above the Clouds (coming on 4 June!) in Lovely Lipstick.  Then I matted it on Basic Black and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the balloon envelope (yes, that’s the technical name for the balloon part of a hot-air balloon.  You’re welcome) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink three times – and punched them all out with the bundled Hot Air Balloon Punch.  I also stamped it on Pineapple Punch DSP (twice) and once on Lovely Lipstick DSP.  Those I fussy cut.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the fussy cut balloons to the punched Whisper White balloons.

I also stamped a couple of little baskets in Tuxedo Black, punched them out and adhered them with Liquid Glue to the bottom of two of the balloons.  I used my Light Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends to color the baskets.

I adhered the two Pineapple Punch balloons to the card front with Liquid Glue and popped the Lovely Lipstick balloon on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a retiring Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot in Pineapple Punch by the sentiment and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped another of the Above the Clouds sentiments in Lovely Lipstick on my Whisper White panel.  Over that – to frame it – I stamped another balloon and basket image in Pineapple Punch.  Then I colored the basket like I’d done on the front and added a Pineapple Punch Enamel Dot.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Lovely Lipstick card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another hot air balloon on the front…

…and then I added a little more of the Lovely Lipstick 2018-2020 In Color DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What a cool bundle!  And, while it’s awesome using the Hot Air Balloon Punch to create Above the Clouds balloons, it will ALSO help you to make fuller Magnolia flowers when paired up with the Magnolia Lane suite!  Whoo-hooo!  I hope you like and will plan to add this fun little set to your wish list!
