‘Sup, y’all!? Week going well? We’ve finally got a little teensy warmer weather up here in the Baltimore area – thank the Good Lord! Boy, when the wind blows here it is Some. Kind. Of. Cold! Brrrr!
I have a Spring-y card for you today – to counter the cold, maybe? It uses one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration goodies (and you’ve only got 6 more days to get plenty of it for your stash!) – the Botanical Butterfly DSP. Atop that pretty paper, I just added a big bold sentiment from the Amazing Life bundle. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one comes from this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge.
I started with one of my favorite designs in the Botanical Butterfly DSP and matted it on Highland Heather for the card front.
Then, on some Whisper White, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the big beautiful sentiment from the Amazing Life stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I stamped it twice – thank you, Stamparatus! – to get a good sharp image.
Once the ink was good and dry, I cut the sentiment out with a die from the bundled Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
Using my Light and Dark Highland Heather and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends, I colored the banner and word in the sentiment. Then I adhered the rectangle to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped two of the small flower images in Tuxedo Black and colored them with my Light and Dark Pineapple Punch and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. Then I fussy cut them.
I popped the flowers on with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Whisper White Medium Baker’s Twine and adhered it to one of the flowers with a Glue Dot. On the other I added a Pearl Basic Jewel and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment and flower from Amazing Life in Tuxedo Black. Then I colored the flower with my Blends and added a Pearl Basic Jewel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
I added another Amazing Life flower to the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope…
…and more of the Botanical Butterfly DSP to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This Amazing Life bundle is…wait for it!….amazing! Not only does it include the wonderful sentiments-and-images stamp set, but you get the awesome Rectangle Stitched Framelits – which add instant texture and interest to everything you use them on! And – you’ve got such a short amount of time left to score this beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP for FREE – you really need to hurry! 🙂 Hope you like!
This is a perfect time to get stocked up on…envelopes, adhesives, embellishments, card stock, tools (paper snips, Stamparatus, Big Shot) – all the basics and staples we use every day!
