Stampin’ Up! Fabled Friends for a Friend!

Happy Friday!  And it’s a Friday that I hope is starting to bring warmer weather to my friends in the great frozen almost-anywhere-but-here!!  🙂

I have a harbinger of Spring for y’all today, courtesy of the new Fable Friends stamp set. Take a look-see:

The layout and – to some extent – the color scheme – comes from the FUSION challenge this week.

You see the photo in my card, right?  Bird?  Some black.  Some white.  Some yellows and pink-ish and green-ish-es?  Okay – it’s mostly the sketch. 😉

I started with some Grapefruit Grove DSP (from the 2018-2020 In Color DSP), matted on Smoky Slate for the card front.  I added two little flags of Mint Macaron paper (Subtles DSP).  I cut the ends of the strips with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sweet Fable Friends momma-duck and her children in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White.  I added a sentiment in Grapefruit Grove.

With some Stampin’ Blends, I colored the ducks – Light and Dark Pineapple Punch and Dark Mango Melody.  I used the Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker for legs and bills.  Their clothes are in Mint Macaron and Petal Pink Blends.  Momma is a bit of a rebel – and picked a Calypso Coral hat!

I used my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to add a little grass under all of their duck-feet, then I adhered the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from some Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8″ Variegated Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish off the card front.

On the inside, I added a Grapefruit Grove sentiment from Fable Friends to a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped and colored some more duck-children and grass in the corner.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Fable Friends kids  – on grass! – on the front…

…and a little more Mint Macaron Subtles DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What a sweet little set this is!  Adorable little images and sentiments for spring…for friendship…for babies and Easter! Versatile AND adorable?  Yep – that’s the Fable Friends stamp set!  Hope you like!

We’ve been notified by the manufacturer of our 1/8″ Circle Punch (item 134365) that they will no longer be able to produce this item. As a result, this item will no longer be available for purchase after June 3, 2019, or once our inventory is depleted—whichever happens first.
