Additionally, severe weather in Kentucky has caused a disruption to operations at the UPS Worldport® hub, which has resulted in unavoidable delays to some shipments.

Finn Fan Fix
No Finn today. Instead, I wanted to show y’all something that came in the mail on Friday.
I was pretty taken aback – this wasn’t something I was even sort of expecting.
It was from my veterinarian.
When I opened it – I was gobsmacked.
Everyone in the office had written a little note about Bo, telling us how sorry they were for our loss.
The ornament is made with hair from his tail.
I didn’t know that the sweet tech had clipped a little for this purpose.
I don’t know if it looks more like a Cross or an Angel.
But – it’s a wonderful reminder of my sweet sweet boy.
And I am grateful for their caring souls.

Yay for new goodies coming soon!!
What a sweet gift! Love the ornament. 🙂
Thanks, Amy – yes, it was sweet! 🙂
Our wonderful vet send our dog paw print in plaster with a poem Rainbow Bridge I cry every time I read it
Yes – it’s a good thing, but…brings it all back. 🙁
Tears again this morning…how special is that! I agree that Bo’s tail looks like an angel. I love the vets who really care. We were so glad we picked the one for Tini. She had only been their patient for 15 hours but they treated her and us like we had been with them forever. I know you’ll treasure that card and gift until the day after forever. Hugs!
Yes indeed. They have a huge part of our hearts in their hands, so it’s so important for them to treat that gently. I’m very glad that was the case for you and Tini, too! 🙂 Thanks, Karen! 🙂
What a beautiful remembrance. That is a very caring and loving vet’s office. You are very lucky to have them. Thanks for sharing with us. It is a heartwarming story.
I know. We’ve been so lucky – he’d been practicing in AL for several years and then came back. We were lucky to hear that he was in the area!! Thanks much, Barbara! 🙂
What a lovely thing for your vet group to do!!! I know how much it meant to you. 😢
Yes, it was very kind. And yes, it really did! Thanks, Mom! 🙂
You made me cry again Mary. You must stop that! This is so sweet. I know it is something you will treasure. Have a great week-end!
It did the same to me, Shirley! I think we’re done with that now! Thanks much! 🙂
Mary,
What a beautiful remembrance of Bo! It looks like an angel to me.
I think it must be, Gerri! Thank you so much! 🙂
Such a lovely gesture. It’s so nice to surround yourself with great people.
Indeed it is – and they’re wonderful. They truly know how hard that is for us to do! Thanks, Sandi! 🙂
😢Angel – for sure an angel. So very sweet of them! My daughter, Emily, just asked me how you were coping- she’s a horse lover too. Hugs!
Well – until I opened that box and saw him in it – I was good. That did make the waterworks start up again, I admit. But…mostly doing okay. Getting used to the different landscape at the barn. Thank you AND her for asking! 🙂
What a wonderful rememberance! I believe that vets care just as much about their furry patients as dr’s care about their human patients.
It seems so – not ALL of them, but then that’s true of some people docs, too, isn’t it? But, we’re very fortunate to have them in our area! Thanks, Gale! 🙂
Wow!! I don’t think any of the vets here in New York do anything like that. You are so lucky!! Sorry for your loss
Yes – we’re lucky he’s back in our area! Thanks! 🙂
Well! I didn’t expect to cry first thing this morning, but when I read your post about your Vet’s kindness, that is exactly what I did. Sorry to post this late, but FINALLY got my internet back. Sort of renews ones faith and trust in the human race to read a story like this. So few (in the big picture) REALLY care, that it is nice to know that there are still caring souls out there. The ornament is one you will always treasure…what a beautiful gesture.
Sorry for the tears, Julie – but…they were happy ones, I hope. Yes. Always a special spot – right next to the horse himself! Thank you so much! And glad you finally have internet back! 🙂
I agree, Angel for sure. I never saw anything like that! So special for sure. Wonderful keepsake.
Thank you, Susie – yes. It’ll always have a special place in my heart! 🙂
It was while reading this blog post that I had my epiphany about ordering SAB (duh moment) and just realized I didn’t even read to the FFF. But i did want to comment on the kindness of your vet staff and the loving remembrance they shared. How kind and thoughtful.
Thanks, Susan – they’re good people who have helped us tons thru the years! 🙂
Oh, Mare… I just saw this. What a wonderful gift from your veterinarian’s office!!! Such a blessed keepsake of your Bo… you (((HUGS))) to you across the miles
It really is a wonderful thing! Thank you so much, Angie! 🙂
