Stampin’ Up! Vintage Angels on Earth

Good morning!  So…Tuesday!  I hope you voted (or are planning to) today.  I’m hoping to get that done on our way out of town – cuz…I hate to think I’d have to spend the next few years NOT having the right to gripe and complain about our elected officials, right?!

On a much more important note…Amy and I will be traveling to Orlando today to begin our whirlwind week of fun at OnStage!!  This is Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary – so…it’s going to be a blow-out event, I am certain sure.  Watch thru the week for pictures and updates – the usual Spoiler Alert has been lifted.  Which means I can share goodies from the 2019 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs all willy and nilly!  Whoo-hoo!!  Can’t wait to see what’s in store!

For today, I’ve got an angelic card to share with you, courtesy of the Angels on Earth stamp set and some Tin Tile Dynamic embossing.  Take a look-see:

Although I flipped it around a little, the layout for this one was inspired by the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch.

I started with a piece of Copper Foil paper that I embossed in the Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF.  I punched two Sprig Punch shapes from the middle of the embossed panel (for later) and then matted it on Garden Green for the card front.

Then – I took a piece of the pretty Dashing Along DSP (check out the deets below on how to get this pack for yourself!) and embossed it in the same DTIEF.  I tore the edges and then sponged them with Crumb Cake to distress it.  Finally, I used a sponge wedge to brush Bright Copper Shimmer Paint across the paper.

Next I adhered the paper on an angle with Liquid Glue.

I cut a Vellum card stock oval with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die and adhered it with dabs of Liquid Glue (making sure the glue would be hidden by the rest of the elements).  Over the top, I added the two Sprig Punch shapes that I’d cut out of the embossed Copper Foil.

I used the pretty angel image in the Angels on Earth stamp set to heat emboss the image with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Crumb Cake card stock.  Once the embossing was cool, I fussy cut her.  With Liquid Glue under the center and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under each wing, I added her to the collage.

The sentiment, from Angels on Earth, is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Crumb Cake and cut with the Pretty Label Punch.  I used my Crumb Cake sponge to lightly distress the shape, then flicked the edges with the sponge I’d used to add the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.  That added a little touch of shimmer and shine.

I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a couple of Glue Dots to add a Star Copper Wire Element.   A Linen Thread double-loop Billie Bow is popped on with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  Finally, I colored some Pearl Basic Jewels with my Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and popped them on to finish off the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Angels on Earth in Cherry Cobbler on a Very Vanilla mat.  In the corners, I added the pretty filigree image in Crumb Cake.  Then I flicked the edges of the panel with the Crumb Cake sponge.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Garden Green mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelop got another Crumb Cake filigree corner on the front…

…and another bit of the Dashing Along DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Angels on Earth is a lovely set, perfect for creating vintage-y style cards for the Christmas season!  And the Tin Tile DTIEF adds just-right texture – especially in Copper!  Hope you like!
