Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month we’re doing projects that Celebrate Summer! We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I love the new Enjoy Life stamp set – so I pulled it out and borrowed some design elements from the Annual Catalog to make a little scene that says Summer to me.
I started with a Grapefruit Grove card base and, in Grapefruit Grove ink, stamped the grasses image across the bottom of the front.
For the art, I used Shimmery White card stock and washed a little color across the panel with my Aqua Painter. I started with Grapefruit Grove and then added some So Saffron underneath.
Once the watercolor wash had dried, I used Jet Black Stazon ink to stamp the same Enjoy Life grasses image over the bottom of the panel. Then I matted the panel on Coastal Cabana card stock and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I added a Coastal Cabana Colored Doily with some Liquid Glue. Then I cut Whisper White and Basic Black leaves using the Floral Framelits dies and adhered them with more Glue.
I stamped the Enjoy Life sentiment on Shimmery White card stock in Stazon Black and cut a banner end with the Banner Triple Punch. I also added some flourish punch-outs with the Detailed Trio Punch and popped the banner on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The last thing to do was to add a small bow from some Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine, using a dab of Liquid Glue.
On the inside, I added more of the Enjoy Life grasses in Stazon Black ink across the bottom of a Shimmery White panel. I punched the top corners with two of the three shapes in the Detailed Trio Punch.
I punched the corners of a Coastal Cabana mat, then added the stamped panel with Liquid Glue, adhered it into the Grapefruit Grove card base, and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Enjoy Life grasses across the front…
…And I added some Grapefruit Grove paper from the 2018-2020 In Color DSP to the envelope flap.
Et Voilal! This is one of my favorite stamp sets – I really love doing silhouettes of grasses and flowers. I am also really pleased with how nicely the Coastal Cabana and Grapefruit Grove work together! I hope you like!

I’m confused? The Coastal Cabana cs is cut at 4″ x 5 3/4″ for the card front, and the other piece of same color is cut at 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″. Do we cut off that much cs when using the Detailed Trio Punch? I haven’t got mine yet, was just wondering. I agree with you, this is a must have for every stamper! I love your color combo as well. When I first saw it I thought it was Pool Party. I don’t have my color pack yet. Maybe tomorrow? You are truly an awesome person, and I love your projects, and the fact you share Finn with all of us! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Sorry for the confusion! Cut the inner liner mat to the size shown – and then trim the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. The front and inner mats are just different sizes on this card! I am so glad that Coastal Cabana came back – it’s a super pretty color! Thank YOU for reading my posts and enjoying my ramblings on! 🙂
