Stampin’ Up! Happy Celebrations Birthday!

Good morning!  Welcome back to your work-week, y’all!  Well – and mine, too, of course!

Hey!  Guess what tomorrow is?  Yep – it’s the day SU! releases the new Sale-A-Bration goodies!  Two stamp sets and a pack of too-cool Glimmer Paper!  Whoo-hoo!

And, as one last little teaser, I used some of the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper as a little accent for my birthday card – the basis for which is the Happy Celebrations stamp set.  Take a look-see:

happy-celebrations-birthday-4-stamps-n-lingers
I played along with two challenges on this one.  The first one is from The Paper Players

pp-332
And my colors came from the Fab Friday color challenge.

fabfri-106
This is a quickie card to put together, thanks to the fun multi-step Happy Celebrations stamp set!

I started with a plain piece of Whisper White card stock.  In the center, using the first step in the “Happy” image, I stamped it in Peekaboo Peach.  Then I stamped the second image in Calypso Coral.  I also stamped the final – outline – image in Calypso Coral.

happy-celebrations-birthday-2-stamps-n-lingers
Underneath, I stamped the second sentiment in Rich Razzleberry.  Then, using my Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker to add a bunch of little three-dot dots around the sentiment.

happy-celebrations-birthday-8-stamps-n-lingers
In each corner of the panel, in Peekaboo Peach, I stamped the little confetti image from the Balloon Adventures stamp set.

To add just a little bling – but still keep it Clean-and-Simple for the challenge, I cut several stars from the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper, using the die in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  With some Liquid Glue, I adhered them over the confetti images in the corner.  Then I SNAILd the panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I simply repeated the Balloon Adventures confetti in Peekaboo Peach and added a few more Glimmery Bermuda Bay stars.

happy-celebrations-birthday-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd the panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and then to a Peekaboo Peach mat and into my Rich Razzleberry card base.  On the front, I SNAILd a Peekaboo Peach mat directly to the front of the card base and popped my card front over that with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some more Balloon Adventures confetti on the front…

happy-celebrations-birthday-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and on the envelope flap, I stamped another Happy Celebrations sentiment in Bermuda Bay.

happy-celebrations-birthday-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila! Quick – clean – simple.  And the sentiment is for darned sure front and center, huh?  Hope you like!

FINN-FAN FIX….

The other day, I got a comment – a very nice one! – that asked how, with all I have to do, I can keep making a new card every day!  The answer?  I spend a lot of time way behind!! 🙂

This weekend is a prime example.  It was the weekend of errands.  Costco.  Grocery store.  Horse Feed.  Doens’t sound like a lot – but Costco by itself takes a full day.  It’s an Atlanta thing!

And let’s not forget the Finn-constitutional in the morning…

finn-with-a-too-big-stick
He likes to carry big sticks!  And he’s really pretty quiet – you might even say he speaks softly!

And on Sunday, we went to Tractor Supply to get horse feed – and we got his first bag of Adult Dog Food!  Yep – on 1 May, we’ll start mixing the big boy food in with the puppy food!  Can you even believe he’s almost a year old!? 🙂

Finn had a good time.  His obedience was a little slack – it was really busy there, lots of distractions.  But he got some pettings and lots of people admired his handsome self (one lady did think he was a Collie, though!).  And he got to ride in the new truck!

finn-in-the-back-of-the-new-truck

I don’t think he was ready to be done with the adventure, do you?

A good weekend.

But – I’m behind again…go figure! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent Hello

Good morning, y’all – if you’re coming from Amy’s blog this morning – welcome!  If you’re one of my regulars – welcome back!  I appreciate all y’all taking a moment out of your day to spend a little time with me!

My card today uses one of my very favorite things in the Occasions Catalog – the Succulent Garden Suite!  And I pulled from the Hello You Thinlits and some super pretty Sale-A-Bration Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper for my sentiment (which is something you’ll be able to get for yourself – for free! – starting on Tuesday!)  Take a look-see:

oh-so-succulent-hello-4-stamps-n-lingers
I used a fun little sketch from the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge this week…

cts-209
And the gorgeous color scheme is a result of this beauteous vase from the Color Throwdown challenge!

ctd-430
Is it pretty?  And it’s in “my” colors, too – if I was a buyer-of-vases, this is definitely one that would be finding it’s way into my house.

But then I’d have to dust it.

So – I’ll stick with the picture!  And my card!

I started with a Very Vanilla card stock panel and lightly flicked the edges with Crumb Cake ink, using a wedge of sponge.  Then I began to build my Succulent Garden!  I started stamping the medium and small flowers in the Oh So Succulent stamp set – stamping the outline images in Marina Mist and Mint Macaron.  To fill them in, I used the opposite color on the fill-in image, stamping it off once before stamping the card.  Although, as you can see, I did one flower with full strength Mint Macaron.  Cuz…why not??

oh-so-succulent-hello-2-stamps-n-lingers
I made use of the sticky note masks I’d made – and kept! – for a previous card, so that I could have some flowers in front and some in back.  For the little brown succulents, I used stamped-off-once Chocolate Chip ink for the outlines, and Crumb Cake for the fill in.  Finally, the “grasses” are Marina Mist outlines and Mint Macaron (full strength) fill in.

oh-so-succulent-hello-8-stamps-n-lingers
I added some Crumb Cake little tiny flowers – that’s a cute little image in the Oh So Succulent set – stamping each image once and then moving the stamp ever-so-slightly and stamping it again without re-inking, to create a softer, sort of blurry image.

These are easy to do, folks – just make plenty of the sticky notes masks (and keep them handy in your stamp case for next time!), take your time, and move the masks around as you need them.  Keep building and adding flowers until you’re happy with it! 🙂

oh-so-succulent-hello-3-stamps-n-lingers
I adhered a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon across the card front with some Liquid Glue.  My sentiment is cut with a die from the Hello You Thinlits – I cut two from Chocolate Chip card stock and one from the new (next Tuesday!!) Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper, and stacked them up with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered them over the burlap ribbon.  I SNAILd the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I flick-sponged the edges of another Very Vanilla panel with Crumb Cake.  In the middle, I stamped a sentiment from Oh So Succulent in Mint Macaron and then I added some flowers in the corner.

oh-so-succulent-hello-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and into my Chocolate Chip card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a repeat of the inner-liner Oh So Succulent flowers on the front…

oh-so-succulent-hello-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and then I added a Mint Macaron design from the Succulent Garden DSP to the envelope flap.

oh-so-succulent-hello-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  This color scheme…with this stamp set…is…wow! – and smack dab in the middle of my comfort zone!  I love the sort of antiqued, rustic look of the card, with the subtle bling of the Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper!  Hope you like!

FINN-FAN FIX….

Need to brag on my puppy a little bit!
The other day, when we went to the vet for “the incident” – he felt good.  No side effects whatsoever.  Just wanted to set the baseline for y’all!
He rode calm and cool to the doc – waited for me to tell him he could get out of the van, and walked nicely into the office.
Where there was a dog laying on the floor while his mother paid the bill.  OMG OMG OMG!!
But – he minded and came back (mostly!) to heel.  Then he sat and waited with me.  Mostly.
I mean….IT’S ANOTHER DOG, MOM!!
We went and sat down and he laid down between my feet when I asked him to.  And then the tech came and called his name.
We had a short discussion about who-is-the-boss-of-him (not the tech!) and he laid back down.
And here’s the fun part.  His little wiggler was going about a million rpm – and so was his left hind leg!  You know how they do when you scratch that spot on their belly?  Yea – like that.  So here he is, laying down, head on the floor, tail a virtual blur and this leg just going to beat the band.
I’m a little ashamed to say that we were all laughing.  I hope he was laughing, too, so that it was with him and not at him!
Once we got in the exam room and the tech left….

finn-chillin-at-the-vet
Figured he might as well get a little snooze in while he waited!
My kinda dog!!
I surely do love this little turd-knocker!! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Build It Nail It Father’s Day Card

Hey, y’all, happy weekend!  I got a travel reprieve – my trip’s moved to next week!  Of course, it also extended a day, so…the good with the not-so-bueno, I guess!

Now, my card for today is a Father’s Day card.  Yes, I’m aware that Father’s Day isn’t for another few months, but 18 June will be here before you know it!

You know what will not be here then?  The Occasions catalog – which means that the Nailed It stamp set and matching Build It Frameltis – well.  They might not be here either!  So…I wanted to give you an idea for a fun Father’s Day card using these two manly products and some Urban Underground DSP while you’ve still got time to get them.  Take a look-see:

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-4-stamps-n-lingers
My layout is from this week’s Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

ssc146
I started with my fave piece of paper from the Urban Underground DSP and stamped the little screw and smiley face images from Nailed It all over with Whisper White Craft Ink.  Then I SNAILd it on a Delightful Dijon mat.  I used a silver-embossed piece, also matted on Delightful Dijon, across the panel.

The sentiment is on a triple oval – the base mat is Delightful Dijon, cut with a scalloped die in the Ovals Layering Framelits.  Next is a Very Vanilla oval, followed by a third oval in Delightful Dijon. That one was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-3-stamps-n-lingers
I stamped the Nailed It sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink on a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock, and cut it with the little die in the Build It Framelits.  It’s a cool one – cuz it also embosses a little edged frame as it cuts!

About this time, I pulled out my Hardwood stamp, inked it with Early Espresso ink, and stamped a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock.  The first thing I cut from it was a second little frame, which I adhered to my oval-stack with Liquid Glue.  I popped the sentiment frame over the top of that – offset slightly – with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I popped the whole sentiment oval onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-8-stamps-n-lingers

Then I built some tools!  I cut a hammer and a screwdriver from the Hardwood-stamped card stock.  Using the same dies, I cut a hammer head and a screwdriver head from a piece of Silver Foil.  I adhered my silver tool-heads to their respective tools with Liquid Glue.  Then I used my Stylus on the back of each tool to create some depth.  And I gently rubbed some details into the fronts, too!

I wrapped a little piece of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the tool handles (used a Glue Dot on the back to hold it in place), then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-1-stamps-n-lingers
I added a few Urban Underground Embellishments and a little screw that I’d cut with the die in the Build It Framelits from a piece of Silver Foil.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped the second sentiment from Nailed It on a Very Vanilla panel – I used the marker-to-rubber technique and colored the stamp directly with the Basic Black and Delightful Dijon markers.  Then I added the hammer I’d already put together.  I’d made it – I was going to use it, by golly!  And who said you can’t put dimensional things on the inside of a card?  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to help my hammer look more real!  I also stamped some Basic Black Archival Ink screws, too!

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAIL the panel to a Delightful Dijon mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a few more Nailed It screws on the front, as well as some Delightful Dijon smiley faces…

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and I added some more of the Urban Underground DSP – that I stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink with screws and smiles – on the envelope flap.

build-it-nailed-it-fathers-day-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  I think this one turned out to be pretty fun, don’t you!?  Don’t miss out on getting this set and having all the tools (see what I did there?!) on hand when it comes time to make your Father’s Day cards in a few more months!  Hope you like!

FINN-FAN FIX….

As a horse owner, there are a few directives from the veterinarian that we dread hearing….

“Give him 20 of these pills twice a day for 10 days”.  This one is a booger, unless you have a Haflinger who’ll eat the pills straight out of her bucket.

“You’ll need to soak this foot for 30 minutes 3 times a day for two weeks”.  Oh my – the back….the aching back!  Not to mention the three or four clothes changes resulting from the bucket of hot water being tossed about by an uncooperative horse!

And…”He’s on stall rest for a week.  You can hand walk him for 15 minutes a few times a day, but that’s it”.

That last one – yikes.  Horses move.  They need to move.  When they don’t move – they get….whack!!  Quick.

And so do 8 1/2″ month Australian Shepherds.  So, when the vet said to “keep him from running around and jumping as best you can for a few days” to let his sprained toe heal…my heart kind of sank. 🙁

So, on Friday morning, I kept him on the leash for his whole “run” – more like a quiet trot.  He didn’t like it.

finn-holding-up-his-hurt-foot
“Please, Mom.  Pleeeeaaaaasssseeee!!!!!  I know I’m holding my hurt foot up cuz of how it hurts, but pleaaaaaaaaaasee  let me off this leash!  I need to run-gallop-leap-bound-cavort-gallop-and-jump!  But I won’t if you don’t want me to – I prooooooomise!!  I’ll just walk right by you if you’ll just…let…me…off…the….leash…..!”

I didn’t succumb!  Cuz I think he was lying.  I was strong.  But….it’s going to be a long few days!

Stampin’ Up! Number of Years Basket Bunch Birthday

Well, here we are again – it’s Friday!  Whoo-hooo!  I don’t know about y’all, but I’ve got chores and errands and…cards cards cards to make this weekend!  I have to go out of town again next week, so gotta get ahead!

Three years ago at this time, I was in Florida running a test – and one of our guys and his wife had their baby.  A little girl.  One of the first ever cards that I made for a specific purpose went to them to celebrate that birth.  And each year since, I’ve sent a little gift and a card.

This year, I used an Easter stamp set from the Occasions catalog called Basket Bunch.  I paired it with the Number of Years stamp set and its matching Large Number Framelits.  Take a look-see:

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-4-stamps-n-lingers
I used a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for the layout:

fms-275
And the color scheme came from The Paper Players color challenge.

pp331
I started with a Whisper White panel for the card front.  Using the sentiment from the Number of Years stamp set, I stamped it at the top of the panel in Blushing Bride.  When I put the stamp on my acrylic block, I curved it more than it already is, so that it would fit nicely above the handle of my basket.

Then I used the flower images in Number of Years to create a subtle, pale background.  I inked the foliage image in Smoky Slate and stamped-it-off-once on scrap paper before stamping it on the card stock.  I stamped the image all over the panel.  Then I stamped the little flowers in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride.

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-2-stamps-n-lingers
The panel is matted on Copper Foil and then Blushing Bride card stock.  I used the Project Life Corner Rounder to round the two opposite corners, and SNAILd the stack together.

Now – if you’re new to my blog (welcome!), you might think I did that cuz I’m a wicked talented designer.

Well – sure.  Of course there’s that.

But – if you’ve been around for a while, you suspect I did that to cover a…boo-boo!  Yep.  You got it! 🙂

With everything all matted up, I laid a piece of Blushing Bride 3/8″ Striped Satin Ribbon across the card front, securing it with little bits of Liquid Glue.  Over that is a strip of Smoky Slate 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon.  Then it was time to make the focal point of the card!

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-1-stamps-n-lingers
Using the Basket Builder Framelits, I cut the little basket and handle from some Copper Foil.  And I stamped three little bunnies from the Basket Bunch stamp set in Smoky Slate on Whisper White, colored them in with my Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker and fussy cut them.

The final piece is a Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper “3”, cut with the Large Numbers Framelits.

To build the art, I adhered the handle to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I stuck a Glue Dot on the card stock and wound a few loops of Copper Metallic Thread around. Over that went the “3” and two little bunnies.  Hint:  The handle isn’t as “tall” as it looks here.  I adhered it with a gap above the basket – and covered the gap with the bunnies! 🙂  I popped the basket on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the third bunny.

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-8-stamps-n-lingers
For the sentiment, I stamped two words from Number of Years in Smoky Slate and cut them out, edged them with the Blushing Bride Marker and stuck them to the basket with Liquid Glue.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I repeated my stamped-off-once Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride flowers in the middle of a Whisper White panel.

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-5-stamps-n-lingers
I repeated the corner rounding on the panel and its Copper Foil and Blushing Bride mats (in for a penny, in for a pound!) and then SNAILd the whole thing into my Smoky Slate card base.  I popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Number of Years flowers on the front…

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and I used a piece of Smoky Slate Carried Away DSP (free in the SAB flyer!) for the Envelope Flap.

number-of-years-basket-bunch-birthday-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  I’m pretty sure that, at 3, she’s not going to be fawning all over a handmade card.  So it’s really for her parents, right?  I think they’ll get a smile from the pretty flowers, sparkly number and cute bunnies!  Fun that the Basket Bunch – an Easter bundle – can be so versatile, huh?  Hope you like!

FINN-FAN FIX….

prascend
One pill stolen from a bucket of horse feed….$2.00

dog-food
One can of “special”, veterinarian formula dog food…..$3.63

The look on the Finn-face when they handed him this bowl of charcoal-inundated “special”, veterinarian formula dog food….

charcoal-food
Priceless!

finn-with-charcoal-food
Well, not really priceless.  More like $135!

Yes, he stole a horse pill this morning.  And the call to the vet resulted in:

finn-chewie-first-aid
…puking (poor little dude!).  And then the trip to the vet and the eating of the nasty charcoal food (which, apparently, wasn’t all that nasty cuz he ate every bite!).

Lots better than the tube I was afeared they’d use to “dose” him!

So – that was our Thursday. Bleh…

But he’s fully recovered – might have been harder on the mom than the puppy! 😉

TTFN

P.S.  He also has a sprained toe.  Rough week for Finn-Chewie!!

Stampin’ Up! Blossoms, Hearts and Sunshine Sayings Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

15822762_10211923272945503_223384966683691578_n

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  It’s sketch week and I know our talented ladies will come up with some awesome projects for you so,  I hope you’ll take a few minutes to browse thru all our blogs today! 🙂

Here’s the sketch we’re all playing with….

I decided to go kind of Old-School – meaning I used mostly products from the Annual Catalog.  More specifically, I went back to one of my favorite sets – the Grateful Bunch stamp set and matching Blossom Bunch Punch.  And I snagged a cute sentiment (I like the font!) from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.  Take a look-see:

blossoms-hearts-and-sunshine-sayings-4-stamps-n-lingers
I started by double matting a piece of the Sending Love DSP Stack paper – first on Daffodil Delight and then on Real Red.  Then I wrapped a length of Real Red 3/8″ Striped Satin Ribbon around the panel and secured it in the back with scotch tape.

Next up, I cut a Real Red heart with a die from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits, and embossed it in the Hearts TIEF.  Using a Glue Dot, I wrapped a couple three loops of Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine onto the card front, then popped the heart on top (DE-bossed side up!) with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the triple-flower image stamp in the Grateful Bunch stamp set to make several Daffodil Delight flowers on Whisper White, then punched them out with the Blossom Bunch Punch.  I could have used them like that, but I wanted them to look even more daisy-ish. so I went ahead and fussy cut them  – which eliminated the white edge.  Then I used my Bone Folder to gently curl the tips of the petals.

blossoms-hearts-and-sunshine-sayings-8-stamps-n-lingers
I colored the centers of the large and small flowers with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker, then added a Daffodil Delight Enamel Shape.

The sentiment, from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set, is stamped in Real Red on a piece of Whisper White and cut into a banner with my Paper Snips.  I edged it with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered it to the heart with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I spread my little daisies all around the heart and sentiment with Liquid Glue, and that was it for the card front!

blossoms-hearts-and-sunshine-sayings-1-stamps-n-lingers
On the inside, I stamped some more Daffodil Delight Grateful Bunch flowers in the corner of a Whisper White panel, and colored their centers with the Real Red Marker.

blossoms-hearts-and-sunshine-sayings-5-stamps-n-lingers
I double matted the panel on Daffodil Delight and Real Red, and SNAILd it into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Grateful Bunch flowers on the front…

blossoms-hearts-and-sunshine-sayings-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and some of the Sending Love DSP on the envelope flap.

blossoms-hearts-and-sunshine-sayings-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  I love how the elements from the different stamp and framelits sets came together with the new Sending Love DSP to create a sunshine-y clean and layered birthday card!  Hope you like! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Falling For You Gift Card Holder for the Share The Love Blog Hop

16473727_10212256266470133_7285693284419105782_n
Good morning, y’all – happy Valentine’s Day and welcome to the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!  And, in honor of the day, this month’s theme is Share the Love!  I can’t wait to see what all the ladies come up with and I hope you’ll spend some time scrolling thru all their offerings today!

My project is the second installment from the gift items I made for my friend’s wedding this past weekend.  Wedding…Love.  Made sense to me!

A few weeks back, I made a card using the Falling For You stamp set and the Falling in Love DSP.  When I selected this card for them, I decided to make a Gift Card Holder to go with it.

Stampin’ Up! Reverse Word Sneak Peek!

Well – happy Sunday! On the way home – with my new manicure….mostly…intact!  Yes, I even went and got a manicure yesterday before the wedding.  I kinda hate going – I’m always pretty sure that as the technicians chatter in their own language, laughing and giggling, that they’re discussing the horrendous state of my nails!!  Also – a manicure will typically last me…a day.

Maybe.  If I sit around with my fingers splayed and hovering in the air. Which isn’t very likely given…well….life! 🙂

Bottom line…I don’t do it much!

On the other hand – ha!! – I really want to start doing videos and posting them for y’all.  So manicures may be something I need to do more of.  The trick will be finding a good nail color that coordinates with all the ink that’s probably also going to be gracing my fingers! 🙂

We’ll see how that works out!

The wedding was gorgeous – took place right on the water.  It was wonderful to see my friend so happy with his new bride – who is lovely inside and out.  And it was great to see my friends from work – who’d driven from Alabama or flown from California for the event.  I’m very glad I went! 🙂

And in case that’s not pretty enough – sunset over the water was spectacular! 🙂

For those looking for their Finn-Fan-Fix….take a look at my card and then scroll down to the end of the post! 🙂

My card for today is a quick-and-easy congratulations card that I made with the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Reverse Words….

second-sab-4-stamps-n-lingers
I also added a sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and a bit of Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes That’s The Wedding Tag!

Hey, y’all – from sunny St. Pete, Florida!  Easy peasy drive down yesterday – boy, I love my Odyssey!!  Was cool driving across the long bridge between Tampa and St. Pete.  There’s a sign at the start that warns….Long Bridge Ahead, Check Gas!  LOL – I’d just filled up, so it was all good!  I enjoyed watching the birds dive down into the bay as I crossed.

I didn’t get a picture of poor little Finny’s face this morning – he’s totally caught on to the suitcase.  He tried to body-block me – and it! – all the way down the hallway.  I felt really bad! 🙁

Before I get to my project – I know you need something Finn-ish!  So…. here we go!  A few weeks back, I took this picture – sort of randomly.  For some reason, this is one of his cutest parts to me!

finn-feet
Seriously??  Those not-so-little white toes!

It’s a terrible burden being such an object of affection.  Serious pressure to always be cute.

Fortunately, he excels!

finn-smile
I promised a couple of wedding-related projects in the next couple of days – and today is the first installment!  I got a couple of gifts (in addition to a gift card) from Bed, Bath and Beyond and while I was there, I took advantage of their free gift wrapping station.  So all I had left to do was make a gift tag.

Which I did – with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, a bit of That’s The Tag stamp set and a touch of Silver Glimmer….take a look-see:
