Happy Saturday, y’all! As I write this on Friday evening, the weekend looms long ahead. And yet I know that I’m going to blink and it’ll be Monday morning! We’re entering….the WEEKEND ZONE…in which time flies by at an unrelenting and unreasonable pace for a couple of says – ending abruptly with the alarm clock going off at O’Dark Thirty on Monday morning. 🙁
So – a few weeks back, I showed y’all the uber-cool vegetable beds that my hubby welded and built for me. Before I left this week we got everything planted that I’d planned to plant. Meaning I have two empty beds left – to plant in quick growing stuff when I get home. But – the one we did plant is awesome! Four tomato plants and four Ancho Magnifico chile pepper plants! And lots of good, smelly bug-repelling marigolds!
Yum!
That’s what I left at home. What I did not leave at home was much – if any! – of my stamping goodies!
Yep – brought my plastic Steri-Lite CD case stamp holders and my Stamp-N-Storage Combo Holder and practically everything! But – looks like it’s going to be a good spot to stamp, right? Viva TownePlace Suites! 🙂 Viva the MINI-VAN!!
Anyway – on to the Retiring Product Retrospective I mentioned in the title of the post! I thought for today I’d share a few of my favorite retiring stamp sets – by bringing back some of the cards and projects I’ve made with them! So – here we go…
One of the very first stamp sets I bought – waaaaaaay back in 2014 – was a little set called Sassy Salutations!

And I’ve made a few fun cards with it. Click the picture to go to that post and see how I made it!
Fun font, isn’t it?
Another stamp set that I’ve had for….well, ever?…is called For All Things. These are discounted right now on the retiring list for $21.25 for the Wood mount and $13.50 for the Clear Mount.
I suspected in my heart that this one would leave us – it’s been around for a couple of years. But – I’ve loved the projects I’ve made with it! Take a look-see (and, hey! On this first one – recognize that forest embossing? That’s the Woodland TIEF – and it’s coming back in the new Annual Catalog!):
Okay, you guys – I’m dyin’ here! Seriously – go take a look at the blog post for this next one! The card – it does showcase – sort of! – the stamp set. But…I blogged this all the way back in January of last year! I was a baby-blogger then! I knew nuTHING (do you hear Sgt Shultz from Hogan’s Heroes there??) about picture taking, lighting, naming photo files (I almost couldn’t find this picture!), sharing card cuts… hahaha!! I hope that you think I’ve gotten better in the year I’ve been doing this! 🙂
Okay – one more. Vivid Vases – this is such a simple little stamp.

Just one stamp – on wood. One image. One sentiment. But…it’s just so darned pretty! And it can be sweet and simple or rustic or…well. Take a look-see – these first two are some of my favorite cards of all time (well, that I’ve made!):
Yea – you guessed it – that last one was one of my earlier photo efforts! 😉
And – did you notice a common product amongst almost every one of the cards I shared today? You got it – the Envelope Liner Framelits! Since I got it, I’ve used it on almost every single card I’ve made. Not every one, but darned sure a bunch of them. I’ll tell you a secret, y’all. I mostly don’t use products that you guys can’t get. But this one? Yep – I’m probably going to keep using it. You should GET this framelit set! Get. It! P.S. Don’t forget you need a Big Shot for this one to work! 😉

So – just a few of my faves that are leaving us! Hope you enjoyed the look back and will be adding these stamp sets to your tool box before they’re gone for good!

Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Great review. Great card. Great garden. Have a great week end!
Sure I will! Thanks, Mom! 🙂
Impressive set up! Can’t wait to show my husband what some stampers get to take with them when they travel 😉!!! And love your cards. I will especially miss For All Things. It makes such beautiful fall cards. Enjoy your weekend!
Yes – For All Things is one of my very favorite sets! I really love the trips where I get to drive! Otherwise – I don’t get all my stuff, and I for sure don’t get my ink holder. What a luxury! Thanks, Barb! 🙂
