I am in love with this new Sale-A-Bration Sheer Perfection Vellum Designer Stack! It has the prettiest designs and they’re just begging to be colored with SU markers (full disclosure – this one is done with the Blendabilities, but… the Stampin’ Write Markers will work just as well. Just color on the back – same as the Blendies – and let them dry really well – might even use the low setting on your heat tool to hurry the process!). Any-who….I used the first design from the stack on my wedding card from last week. For today, I decided to try the vines pattern. Take a look-see!
I love Wild Wasabi and Pink Pirouette together – I just think it’s beautiful – and adding pearls and the new vellum really puts it over the top! I started with my normal size card base in Wild Wasabi and a mat in Pink Pirouette. For the first part of the art piece, I stamped several of the butterflies from the new Sale-A-Bration freebie item Nature’s Perfection in Crumb Cake – kind of randomly all over a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. Then I colored them all in with bright, even tropical colors. Hey – they’re MY little butterflies! They can be however colorful I want them to be! Who’s to say they have to look “real”!?!? 😉
Then, I pulled out my chosen vellum, and colored the back of the paper with my Wild Wasabi Blendabilities. I used all three shades of the same color and just tried to spread them all around evenly. But without worrying about it too much – cause Mother Nature doesn’t, so…..
I adhered the vellum to the Very Vanilla piece with some glue dots in the 4 corners, and a couple in the very center, where I knew they’d be covered by my sentiment.
The sentiment pieces are both cut from Very Vanilla with the Chalk Talk Framelits dies. I stamped the top in Mossy Meadow using my fave sentiment set – Sassy Salutations! And then I sponged up the bottom piece with more Mossy Meadow – and took a second to sponge the edges of the sentiment tag, too. Just to pull it all together, dontcha know!
I SNAIL’d the bottom tag to the vellum and then wrapped a few wraps of Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine around the card front, securing it in the back with regular ole tape. The sentiment got popped on with some Dimensionals. Pearl Basic Jewels in each corner hid those glue dots AND finished the card off. Two birds with 4 pearls, as it were.
I SNAIL’d the entire layered piece to the card base and the card front was done!
The inside got a liner of Very Vanilla and a few quick Crumb Cake butterflies. I decided I liked them just plain and so the card was finis!
Time is really getting short, folks, for snagging the Sale-A-Bration free picks! This new vellum is awesome and coordinates really nicely with the Nature’s Perfection Stamp Set. Do yourself a favor – and getcha some! 🙂

In case you didn’t see my Tuesday post, there IS some bad news about the Blendies…..
You’ve been reading that the Blendies have been on ordering hold, due to quality issues in manufacturing. Due to the nature of the defect, Stampin’ Up! has concluded that difficulties, dissatisfaction, and product returns will only become more widespread. The manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a manner the company is certain would meet our high quality standards and provide us with a stable, long-term solution. Therefore, after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued. If you have Blendabilities that you feel are defective, please let me know and I’ll guide you through what to do next. Hopefully SU will find a new source for alcohol markers – you’ll know just as soon as I do!
