Stampin’ Up! So Much Happy for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The colors today led me smack to the Playing With Patterns DSP so…being a good follower, I used it as the basis for my card.  And – I decided to also break out my So Much Happy Bundle with the super cool Happy Dies.  Take a look-see:

I’d seen the TGIF product challenge this week and my brain liked the idea of using the pretty DSP to do a scrappy strips card!

I started with a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock and I adhered the center section of the panel to a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet.

Then I cut the cool focal die from the Happy Dies out of the middle.

I cut a bunch of strips (3/8″ and 1/2″ wide) of two Purple-Posy designs in the Playing With Patterns 6″ x 6″ DSP and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.  The trick here is to always have one end “square” and butt that end up against the die-cut “dent” near the sentiment.  I totally eyeballed the distance between each strip – just trying to keep them pretty close!

I trimmed the excess DSP with my Paper Trimmer.

Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the part of the card front NOT covered by the Foam Adhesive Sheet – and adhered the whole thing to a Night of Navy mat.

I stamped a sort of non-occasion-specific sentiment from the So Much Happy set in Night of Navy on a Whisper White strip, then cut each end with the Banners Pick A Punch.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Coastal Cabana Playful Patterns Resin Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I didn’t add a sentiment – so I can make it what I like – or send it to someone to use as THEY like.  Instead, I stamped a star-strewn balloon from So Much Happy in Coastal Cabana – then added a Night of Navy string and bow – all on a Whisper White panel.  I added another Playful Patterns Resin Dot to the bow – this one in Purple Posy!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Purple Posy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another So Much Happy balloon on the front…

…and some of the pretty Purple Posy Playing With Patterns 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How “happy” does this So Much Happy Bundle make you?? It makes ME very happy, indeed!  I love this big sentiment die cut – and I REALLY love it on the Adhesive Foam Sheet!  Stampin’ Dimensionals MADE LARGE – and this die is perfect for it!!  And the So Much Happy stamp set let’s you totally tailor your project to the occasion!!

The Playful Patterns 6″ x 6″ DSP is a really pretty party on paper, don’t you think? 🙂
