Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
The color challenge prompted me to pull out the pretty All Wrapped Up Suite of goodies – the Specialty DSP, Elegantly Wrapped and Wrapped Greenery Bundles – and the pretty Adhesive-backed Sparkle Sequins. I used it all to make a super easy fun fold that could be for…a birthday!? A promotion?! Anniversary? Well – you decide. Take a look-see:
And – here’s that color challenge!
I started with a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Real Red cardstock that I scored and folded at 3″. On the short front panel, I adhered a 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of plaid All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP, matted on Cloud Cover cardstock.
For the inside, I stamped an Elegantly Wrapped sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. In the corner, I stamped the Wrapped Greenery pine bough twice in Peaceful Pine ink. Then I added the berries in Real Red ink.
I matted the panel on Cloud Cover cardstock and then adhered it to the inside of the card base.
For the front panel, I first matted another piece of the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP on Cloud Cover cardstock and then adhered the matted panel on a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock.
Using the dies in the Wrapped Greenery die set, I cut out several images from the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP. I also used one of the dies to cut out a large leaf from Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper.
I trimmed the bottoms off one of the DSP leaves and the Pearlized Paper leaf…
…and then used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the small matted panel.
Using the Three Banner Punch, I cut out 4 banners from silver Metal Effects Specialty Paper. I tucked them under the foliage, adhering them with Liquid Glue. Note: after I took these in-progress photos – I ended up cutting the banners down to about half their length – so…you know. Do that! 🙂
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a small, plaid bow from Elegantly Wrapped in Real Red ink and cut it out with the coordinating die.
I adhered the bow to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped a small sentiment from Elegantly Wrapped in Secret Sea ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with the smaller label die in the set.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the sentiment to the card front.
Using Liquid Glue just on the short front panel of the card base, I adhered the completed panel to the card – centering it on the card base.
I added Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-backed Sparkle Sequins to the DSP bough and to the small front panel and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Wrapped Greenery pine boughs and berries on the front…
…and a little of the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This is such a quick and easy fun fold – and it gives you plenty of room to show off pretty papers like the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP. Add some foliage and sentiments from the coordinating Elegantly Wrapped and Wrapped Greenery bundles and…you’ve got a card you’re going to love to send to someone special! 🙂
