Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Fold Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators! We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see! This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!! How cool is that?!?
We’re a week away from the customer release of the November 2026 Online Exclusives and, as we head into the new year (yes – it IS coming!) we’ll also be looking forward to the spring and summer wedding season. So…since one of our new releases next week is PERFECT for wedding season (see? You knew I’d get to the point eventually!) – I wanted to give you a look at a pretty card I made using the new Timeless Celebrations Bundle and coordinating Somewhere in Time DSP! Take a look-see:
This is a super simple z-fold card and it really showcases this pretty new Suite!
I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11” piece of Basic Beige cardstock that I scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. I folded into a “z” – folding the 2 3/4″ score line as a “mountain” and the 5 1/2″ score line as a “valley”.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered two 2 1/2″ x 4″ pieces of elegant new Somewhere in Time DSP (available on 3 Nov) to Secret Sea mats and then to the two smaller front panels. I used the same design of the DSP, matting it on Secret Sea and adhering it to the back panel of the card base.
Using the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die, I cut out two Very Vanilla rectangles.
I embossed one of them in the new Timeless Celebrations Hybrid Embossing Folder. Using the large die in the set, I cut out a Very Vanilla oval.
On the oval, I stamped a Timeless Celebrations sentiment in Secret Sea ink.
On the other side of the oval, I stamped a pretty foliage image from Timeless Celebrations a few times in Peaceful Pine ink. Then I adhered the oval over the oval on the embossed Perennial Postage die cut.
I used that same large die to cut out a Secret Sea frame. When you use the die – you get the oval AND there’s a “discard” piece…
….that works nicely as a frame! Using my Detail Scissors, I snipped off the little “legs”…
I slipped the frame onto the embossed panel and secured it with a little Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the small single Timeless Celebrations flower several times (okay – EIGHT times) in Hydrangea Hue ink. I cut them all out with the coordinating die in the set.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered five of the die cut flowers to the oval. I used the little die in the set to cut out some Hydrangea Hue 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper flowers and added them with Liquid Glue, too.
Finally, I added a new Pearl Adhesive Backed Faceted Dots (coming on 3 Nov) to each flower.
To figure out where it wanted to go on the card, I placed the entire piece on the folded card base – centering it left to right and top to bottom. Then I used Liquid Glue only on the small front panel to adhere the sentiment panel to just the small panel of the card base.
On the second Very Vanilla Perennial Postage die cut, I stamped a second Timeless Celebrations sentiment in Secret Sea ink. In the corner, I stamped the foliage image a few times in Peaceful Pine and adhered the remaining three die cut flowers with Liquid Glue. Then I added a Pearl Adhesive Backed Faceted Dots to each flower.
Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut to the back panel of the card base, centering it left to right and top to bottom and ensuring that it will be “hidden” behind the front sentiment panel when the card is closed – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Timeless Celebrations foliage in Peaceful Pine on the front…
…and more of the Somewhere in Time DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – I think this turned out to be a very elegant card – and yes, it’s a fun fold, too! Very Vanilla – especially with gorgeous embossing like this from the Timeless Celebrations Hybrid Embossing Folder – is just…perfect. And – notice I mentioned that it’s a Hybrid? The large die in the set – the same one I used to cut out the sentiment oval – can be used in the folder to cut out all the embossed portions of the cardstock. So pretty! The bundled Timeless Celebration set yields foliage and sentiments to make this into a wedding card or an invitation! And I think it would be just right for an anniversary, too. The Somewhere in Time DSP really bumps up the elegance quotient – the color palette is stunning!
I hope you like – and are adding this to your gotta-have it list for next week!
