Happy Monday, y’all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the week!
Today’s card is a simple, and easy, layout that showcases pretty paper – like the sumptuous new Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP! And it became a pretty thank you card thanks to the – also new! – Thanks & Giving stamp set! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!
I did a quick video on how to make this card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started this one by adhering three 1 1/4″ x 5 1/8″ strips of the stunning Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
Tip: Place the two end strips first – leaving a “normal” reveal on the outsides and top/bottom. Then center the final strip!
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Thanks & Giving wreath in Golden Glow ink. Using the Dark Cajun Craze, Light Lost Lagoon and Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends, I colored the elements of the wreath.
I cut out the wreath with the next-to-largest dot-dash edged Spotlight on Nature die.
Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the circle to the card front.
I tied a bow from two lengths of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a Thanks & Giving sentiment in Golden Glow ink. Then I used the Stylish Shapes banner die to cut it out.
I adhered the sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added five Pool Party dots from the new Painted Patch Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Thanks & Giving sentiment in Golden Glow ink on a Very Vanilla panel. In each corner, I stamped the little “ray” image from the set in Golden Glow and flanked it with the little berries stem image in Cajun Craze.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Thanks & Giving ray and berries on the front…
…and more of the Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Wow – I mean. This new Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP is so gorgeous – the colors are rich and wonderful – dare I say…OPULENT?! It’s “Specialty” paper due to the two sheets of coordinating die cuts to use in your projects! And the Thanks & Giving set is a perfect accompaniment – so it’s handy that they both came out in the September 2026 Online Exclusives!! Both are perfect for your Thanksgiving and general thank you cards so…grab ’em up!
I hope you like!

Such a pretty fall card Mary! Love that wreath image and the papers that you’ve used are perfect! And it’s terrible to see Addy having such a hard time settling in to her new place. 😉 She looks so sweet! She made me smile today too! 🙂
Thanks very much, Amy! And yes – she’s very sweet indeed. Especially when she’s asleep! 🙂
A beautiful autumnal take on the sketch! I love that you added a bit of plaid/gingham in the middle for a bit of interest. Thanks so much for joining this week’s Freshly Made Sketches!
Thanks much, Donna – appreciate you stopping by!! 🙂
I enjoy seeing your cards on Split Coast Stampers. Today’s card beautifully shows off the richness of Autumn colors.
Thank you so much, Shirley – I appreciate the kind words! 🙂
