Well, y’all did it! Made it to another Friday! Pat yourselves on the back!
Go ahead.
I’ll wait.
(doo-do-doo-do doo-doo-do-doooo….doo-do-doo-do-DOO-doo-do-doo – doooooo)
Good?
Okay. 😉
Today’s card is a fun fold – called a hidden slider card. Cuz…looks normal on the outside and there’s a hidden….SLIDER!…on the inside! This one is decorated with some A Little Christmas DSP and the Frosted Pinecones Bundle – BOTH new on 1 Sept (which is SOON!) in the Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog. Take a look-see

And – with the card closed – the layout was from this week’s The Paper Players sketch challenge!
I started with a 5 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock that I scored at 2 3/4″ and 6 3/4″. I folded both score lines in – like a gate card.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 2 5/8″ x 5 1/8″ panel of striped new A Little Christmas DSP (available on 1 Sept 2026) to the larger front panel and a 1 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of the same design to the front side of the smaller panel.
On the inside of the larger panel, I adhered a 2 5/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of plaid A Little Christmas DSP using Liquid Glue.
To make the slider, I scored a 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock at 3/8″ on the short side.
I laid a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the 3/8″ section on the left side of the slider and put the slider in place inside the card.
Then I laid the larger front panel down – to adhere to the Tear & Tape. The video posted below will show you how this is done!
I cut a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped a Frosted Pinecones sentiment in Cherry Cobbler – cheating it to the left side of the panel.
In the corner, I stamped part of the large Frosted Pinecones image in Peaceful Pine ink. I colored the pinecones with the Light and Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends – and brushed them with my Golden Glow Shimmer Brush.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the front of the slider.
Then I placed Tear & Tape on the top edges of the inside of the opposite short panel.
I took the covers off the Tear & Tape and closed the right panel – “capturing” the slider. Again – the video is the best way to see how to do this!
For the front, I used the next-to-largest crimped-edge Tile Garden die to cut out a Very Vanilla square and a plaid A Little Christmas DSP square. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the DSP square to the cardstock square.
Then – I adhered the square JUST to the left “gate” of the card front using Liquid Glue – and being careful to center it on the card front and NOT get any adhesive on the smaller panel.
Using the dies for the smaller pinecones in the Frosted Pinecones die set – I cut out a solid Pecan Pie pinecone and a detailed pine cone from new Autumn Woodland Specialty Glimmer Paper (available on 1 Sept in the new catalog) in Early Espresso.
I also cut out two large and two small pine boughs from Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper.
I adhered the detailed pinecone to the solid pinecone with Liquid Glue.
Using the completed pinecone as a guide, I stamped a Frosted Pinecones sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on the left side of a 3/4″ x 3 5/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I adhered the strip to the plaid square on the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered the pine cone and the pine boughs with Liquid Glue. At the bottom – I adhered a bow tied with two lengths of Linen Thread.
Then I added a few Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Dots and this part of the card was done.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the completed card to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock.
On a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the large Frosted Pinecones image in Peaceful Pine ink and colored the pinecones with the Light and Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. Then I brushed the pinecones with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the back of the Pecan Pie card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Frosted Pinecones image on the front…
…and more of the plaid A Little Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – I love these designs from the new A Little Christmas DSP, don’t you?! The other side of the paper has darling mice – baking and present-giving and doing other Christmas-y things (it’s part of the new A Little Christmas Suite in the Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog). And – obviously! – the Frosted Pinecones is one of my faves – and I love that it doesn’t HAVE to be for Christmas, either! And, how gorgeous is that detailed die cut in new Autumn Woodland Specialty Glimmer Paper!?
I hope you like – and have already added these to your 1 Sept gotta-get-it list!!
