Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
One of my favorite new bundles from the May-Aug 2026 Catalog is the pretty Garden Gatherings set. I used it here – atop some fun Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP – to make today’s birthday card! Take a look-see:
And here’s our sketch!
I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP to a Basic Black mat using Liquid Glue.
On another piece of the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP, I stamped three vase images from Garden Gatherings in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink – and cut them out with the coordinating dies in the set,
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped Garden Gatherings three stem/leaves images – two of one image and one of the other – in Granny Apple Green ink.
I stamped the flowers – one in Crisp Cantaloupe, one in Fresh Freesia and the third in Daffodil Delight ink. I love how nicely the flower stamped line up with the stems!
I cut out six leaves from Garden Green cardstock using a die in the set.
Then, using Liquid Glue, I adhered the stamped flowers and die cut stems to the back of each die cut vase and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a 1/2″ x 2 1/8″ piece of Pool Party cardstock, I stamped the Garden Gatherings sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I matted the strip on Basic Black and adhered it over the center vase with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adde a little black Baker’s Twine bow with a dab of Liquid Glue, added some Crisp Cantaloupe 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped some Garden Gatherings leaves/stems in Granny Apple Green and the flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe, Fresh Freesia and Daffodil Delight inks. Then I added some 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies – a couple by the flowers and a few in the other corner. Hmmm – wonder why I had to add THOSE!? Yup – smudge. 🤷♀️ If you don’t make a smudge in that other corner – and don’t like how the butterflies look over there…leave them off! 🤙
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Garden Gatherings leaves/stems in Granny Apple Green and the flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe, Fresh Freesia and Daffodil Delight inks on the front…
…and more of the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – it’s not a wonder why I love this Garden Gatherings bundle, is it?! All the images stamp so perfectly and you can truly make all the pretty flowers you want! And the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP is a fun surprise – so many different designs in lots of colors. Something for every project!
