Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all – and happy April! Yep – the month has changed while you were asleep!! Some admin notes: be sure to check out the Kits Collection today – we have two NEW kits – a card kit and a Scrapbooking Kit! AND – the Last Chance Store has been updated today, too! Everything in there is while-supplies-last so…be sure to check for your leaving-us-soon faves!
Now – for today’s project I have a fun, quick and easy Birthday card – featuring a look at our 2026-2028 In Colors with a Sneak Peek at the new 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP AND the new Exciting Times bundle – BOTH available on 5 May in the new May-Aug 2026 Catalog. Take a look-see:
You can see it there in Peaceful Pine and Barely Blush – but…I ALSO made four more versions – all with the same bundle and DSP pack!
I’ll tell you how to make the card – then go thru the color combinations, okay? But…you can mix them and match them however you like! AND – you could use other patterns in the paper, too! Note: the Painted Patterns DSP is the new Family DSP pattern – so you’ll be able to get packs in all the color families when the new catalog goes live on 5 May. AND – these DSPs are now 12″ x 12″ – versus the 6″ x 6″ of previous releases! Yeah!
I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Peaceful Pines paper from the 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Barely Blush cardstock for the card front.
On a 2 1/4″ x 3″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the frame image from the new Exciting Times stamp set (available on 5 May 2026) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Using a Light Peaceful Pines Stampin’ Blend (available 5 May) – I colored the outer frame. I colored the narrow inner frame with the Dark Peaceful Pines Stampin’ Blend.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the birthday sentiment from Exciting Times in Peaceful Pine ink. Then I stamped the ray-frame image from the set around the sentiment in Barely Blush ink.
Using the bundled Rounded Rectangle Punch, I cut out the framed sentiment and adhered it to the colored frame panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I matted the panel on a 2 3/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Barely Blush cardstock.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a loop-d-loop of new Peaceful Pine 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (also new on 5 May) to the back of the matted panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the card front.
Then I added some Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Dots (available 5 May) and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Exciting Times sentiment in Peaceful Pine on a Basic White panel. I stamped the ray-frame image around it in Barely Blush ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Peaceful Pine card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
I didn’t stamp anything on the front of my Basic White Medium Envelope but added some more of the 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP onto the envelope flap.
Now – I did make some other color combos – which one is YOUR fave?!

Updates To The Stampin’ Up! Website Navigation – 1 April 2026!

Stampin’ Up! is making some improvements to their website beginning 1 April 2026! The “menu” at the top of the page will be updated a little to make things easier to find and the search function has been updated a bit so that hopefully you can find things when you search for them by name now!
With the updates, some of the links that I’ve sent out in emails/newsletters before 1 April 2026 may not work correctly. The direct links to products should all be fine, it’s the “category” links (like the Last Chance Products page, Kits Collection page, Suites page, etc) that may be a problem.
I apologize for any frustration and I’ll be updating my blog and newsletter as quickly as possible once I find the broken links. Unfortunately, it won’t fix any links in messages already in your inboxes, but it will fix them in any new emails/newsletters!
Thanks for your patience as Stampin’ Up! updates their website and I update my links to it!
