Stampin’ UP! Cute as a Bug BBQ Master Sneak Peek Birthday Card

Good morning and happy Monday!  Hope you’ve got a good week ahead of you! 🙂

Today’s birthday card is another sneak peek from the new March Online Exclusives (available on 3 March) – it’s the fun BBQ Master bundle – which is going to be a go-to for all your cards-for-guys!  Or – really for anyone!  I brought the picnic theme home with some Cute as a Bug DSP – in the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini available right now!  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I did a quick video on how to make this card –  which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by embossing a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in the new Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder (also available on 3 March).

Next, I adhered a strip of Cute as a Bug DSP to the embossed panel using Liquid Glue.  Tip – I used a longer-than-I-needed strip and then trimmed the excess with my scissors).

I adhered the panel to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock to make the card front.

Using the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out a Poppy Parade circle.  I embossed it in the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the BBQ Master grill and the spatula in Azure Afternoon ink.  I inked the bottom half of the flames image in Crushed Curry and the top in Timid Tiger.  I used a Stampin’ Dauber to blend the colors a bit and then stamped it on the Very Vanilla cardstock.

I used the coordinating dies in the BBQ Master die set to cut out the three images.

With Liquid Glue, I adhered the grill to the card front and then the flames to the grill.

I stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade on Very Vanilla, cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner, then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the die cut spatula with a little Liquid Glue, added one Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shape and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a BBQ Master sentiment in Poppy Parade on a Very Vanilla panel.  Across the bottom, I stamped the BBQ Master spatula in Azure Afternoon, the mitt in Poppy Parade and the tongs in Crushed Curry.  I added one Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shape (cuz they’re so cute!).

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the BBQ Master spatulas, mitt and tongs across the bottom on the front…

…and more Cute as a Bug DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Isn’t this BBQ Master bundle fun?  I barely even scratched the surface of the dies – you can make all sorts of yummy things to “skewer” and “grill” – mushrooms, shrimp, brats – the works!  And the pretty Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder – I love it! Get them both on 3 March!  And – don’t forget to have some Cute as a Bug DSP on hand to finish off your “picnic”!
