Stampin’ UP! Layered Hope Love Joy Sneak Peek Birthday Card with Video

Happy Sunday, y’all!  Hope you’re having a good weekend!

Today’s card is another Sneak Peek from the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalog.  These are a couple of – maybe! – fly-overs!  The first is the Hope Love & Joy bundle and a paper pack you for sure might have overlooked – the Mixed Up Patterns Mix-In DSP!  I added those to some available-right-not goodies – the Layered Thoughts stamp set and the big, beautiful Party Banners die set – to make a pretty birthday card.  Take a look-see:

I started by layering some new Mixed Up Patterns Mix-In DSP on a Bubble Bath mat for the card front.

Using the 5th-from-largest Party Banners die – I cut out a Secret Sea banner and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the whole thing to the front of a Secret Sea card base with Liquid Glue.

I used the next smallest Party Banners die – I cut out a banner from a piece of Bubble Bath paper in the Mixed Up Patterns Mix-In DSP.

I put all three word stamps from the Hope Love & Joy set on a single acrylic block (Block F) and then stamped all three at once in Secret Sea ink on the DSP banner.

I popped the banner onto the Secret Sea banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the globe, the heart and the dove from the Hope Love & Joy stamp set in Secret Sea ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used Stampin’ Blends to color the die cuts – well – the globe and the heart, I left the dove white cuz that made sense… 🙂

I colored the globe with the Dark Cloud Cover and Dark Crumb Cake Blends – and the heart with the Light Real Red Blends.

Then I popped all the die cuts in place with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I used the little flower and leaf dies in the Hope Love & Joy die set to cut out five Basic White flowers and ten Soft Sea Foam leaves.  I adhered all the leaves with Liquid Glue and the the three flowers on top of the art banner with a Mini Stampin’ Dimesional.  I added the two remaining flowers with a little Liquid Glue.

I added a Cloud Cover 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearl to each flower.

On a 1/2″ x 2″ strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Hope Love & Joy sentiment in Secret Sea ink.

I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a Layered Thoughts sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a Basic White panel. I added the Hope Love & Joy heart in Secret Sea – coloring it with the Light Real Red Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Secret Sea card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hope Love & Joy heart on the front…

…and more of the Mixed Up Patterns Mix-In DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Okay – this Hope Love & Joy bundle is too fun!  I love all the options there are for replacing the “O” in the letters of the words (and – there’s even an “o” in the set in case you want to go that route!!).  And – the Mixed Up Patterns Mix-In DSP has so many fun patterns and colors in it – you’re sure to find something (or a bunch of somethings!) to use on your projects.  Get them all in the new Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalog on 6 Jan!  Of course the Party Banners dies and the Layered Thoughts stamp set are available right this second in the 2025-2026 Annual!  Yeah!

Finn Fan Fix

The other night – a young dog rolled thru here – and she had a stand-off with Finn and Addy in the drive-way.

When Wayne stepped around the corner of the house – young dog took off – with Finn and Addy in hot pursuit.

Naturally, with Addy barking like a terrier.

Wayne called Finn who turned around and came right back.

Addy did…not.

I got out there about then and hollered at her to come back.  Which she – eventually did.

Until I looked away and then she was back on the trail.  Sneaky little booger!

So – Wayne took the golf cart to locate her and return her to the fold.

The golf-cart ride of shame.

Finn was like….ooooh – you’re in TRUUUUBLE….

One thing about it – Addy makes Finn look like a twelve-time world champion obedience dog!🤦‍♀️

Such a pretty card! Love the background paper and the sentiments are fantastic! Poor little one…sometimes she just has to make sure that the stray dogs know who’s the boss. 😉
