Stampin’ Up! Amber Autumn Tower Card Thanks with Video Tutorial

Good Friday morning, y’all!  I’m home – it was a long day getting back here on Thursday but…I made it!  It was a great event as always, but (also as always!)…it’s good to be back!  I missed my kids! 🙂

My card today is a Tower Fun Fold that I gussied up as an autumnal thank you card using the Amber Autumn stamp set and bundled dies.  And the pretty Autumn Toile DSP set the stage.  Take a look-see:

The color palette was inspired by this week’s The Paper Players color challenge.

https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2025/11/pp763-colour-challenge-from-jan.html

At our second Krew retreat a couple weeks ago, my friend and teammate Jennie Stahl brought this beautiful Christmas card – a Tower fold – and I loved making it! So I decided to do it again – but…in Fall colors!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 10″ piece of Cajun Craze cardstock that I scored and folded at 4 1/4″, 5 3/4″, 7 1/4″ and 8 3/4″.  I folded all the score lines “in”.

On the end panel (it’s the one that’s only 1 1/4″ wide) – I put two pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I removed the cover and folded the panels over at the 5 3/4″ fold to adhere the panel to the larger side of the card.  Please check out the video – it’s why I made one, cuz it’s a ton easier to SHOW that than to WRITE that!

I adhered three 1 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ panels of Autumn Toile DSP onto the three exposed sides of the tower using Liquid Glue.  Tip: I used about a 5″ wide piece of the DSP – cut at 5 3/8″ long – and cut three 1 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ pieces from it – keeping the pieces in order.  Then I adhered them – in order – which kept the design cohesive!

I adhered a 2 5/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of another design of the Autumn Toile DSP to the back panel with Liquid Glue.

It’s easier to do the back of the card at this point, so I stamped an Amber Autumn sentiment in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla panel.  In the corner, I stamped the Amber Autumn image in Early Espresso ink.

I colored the acorns with an Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and the leaves with the Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.  I added an Early Espresso Earthy Matte Dot next to the sentiment.

Then I adhered the panel to the back of the card base with Liquid Glue.

For the front, I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Very Vanilla circle.  I stamped the Amber Autumn sentiment in Cajun Craze ink.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the circle to the front panel of the tower.  Note: I put the adhesive on the tower versus on the back of the die cut circle to ensure NOT accidentally gluing the tower down! And – I made sure that the circle does NOT extend past the right edge of the card base when it’s all closed up – otherwise it won’t fit in the envelope.

I stamped the Amber Autumn acorns in Early Espresso on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die in the set.  Then I colored it with the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and the leaves with the Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.

I also cut out some leaves with the dies in the Amber Autumn set – one Mossy Meadow leaf and two “grasses” from Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper.

I adhered the die cut leaf and grasses to the die cut circle with Liquid Glue.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Old Olive Linen Thread from the Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I popped the die cut acorns over top with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, added some Early Espresso Earthy Matte Dots and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Amber Autumn acorns on the front…

…and more Autumn Toile DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Fall is my favorite time of year and I can almost hear the leaves crunching underfoot when I look at this gorgeous Autumn Toile DSP, can’t you?!  The coordinating Amber Autumn bundle is a perfect complement to the DSP – with wonderful sentiments to let someone know you’re grateful to have them in your life!

I hope you like!

Yes, indeed – as worried as I was, this turned out to be one of the LEAST stressful flights pairs that’s I’ve done in a long time! Thank you so much, Mary Katherine! 🙂
