Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I gave in to my need to dive into my new Online Exclusives and used nearly ALL of the gorgeous new Brushed With Beauty Suite – the Petals of Beauty and Words of Beauty Bundles, the Brushed with Beauty DSP (WOW!) and the pretty new Pearls of Beauty embellishments (these are ALL available to customers on 4 Nov 2025!). I used them to make a gorgeous (I say modestly!) birthday card. Take a look-see:
And – here’s our sketch challenge!
I started by adhering a beautiful, Petal Pink piece of new Brushed With Beauty DSP (this paper is simply…AMAZING!) to the front of a Petal Pink card base using Liquid Glue.
I matted a second piece – all flower strewn and gorgeous! – of the Brushed With Beauty DSP to a Lost Lagoon mat and then to the front of the card with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the new Petals of Beauty bundle, I cut out a large leaf from some more of the Brushed With Beauty DSP.I also cut three “branches” die cuts from Lost Lagoon cardstock.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped some Petals of Beauty flowers (these are all two-step images)….
– One large – the “fill” image (step 1) is full strength Calypso Coral and so is the detailed image (step 2).
– One large – the “fill” image (step 1) is stamped-off-once Calypso Coral and the detailed image (step 2) is full strength Calypso Coral.
– One small – the “fill” image (step 1) is stamped-off-once Petal Pink and the detailed image (step 2) is full strength Petal Pink.
Then I cut them all out with their corresponding dies in the set.
I adhered all but the final (top) flower with Liquid Glue – layering them up all pretty-like!
Before adhering the top flower – I tied a simple bow from white twine from the new Black & White & Gold Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add that final – large – flower.
Using the three “because” dies in the Words of Beauty set – don’t you LOVE sentiment dies?!? – I cut out a Lost Lagoon shadow, a Petal Pink middle shadow, and a detailed sentiment from Mossy Meadow cardstock.
I stacked them up – adhering them together with Liquid Glue.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue to adhere the stacked sentiment to the card front.
On another piece of the Petal Pink Brushed With Beauty DSP I stamped a Words of Beauty sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and then cut it out with a Words of Beauty label die.
I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Calypso Coral Pearls of Beauty embellishments to the card front – and one of the Crumb Cake embellishments to the middle of that large, top flower – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped another Words of Beauty sentiment in Mossy Meadow on a Very Vanilla panel. Over the sentiment, I stamped the large flower fill image in stamped-off-once Calypso Coral and then the second step image (the detailed image) in Calypso Coral ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Petal Pink card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large Petals of Beauty flower on the front…
…and more of the beautiful flowerdy Brushed With Beauty DSP to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Ohhh my goodness, y’all! How amazing is this new Brushed With Beauty Suite of goodies?! Stampin’ UP! hit the mark in a BIG way with the Brushed With Beauty DSP, the Petals of Beauty bundle and the Words of Beauty bundle, didn’t they? Wow.
