Stampin’ UP! Inspiring Kintsugi Short Front Flap Thank You Card SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Folds Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see!  This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!!  How cool is that?!?

I pulled out the lovely Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP and the coordinating Inspiring Imperfections bundle for today’s card. I call this a Short Front Flap Fun Fold!  Take a look-see:

And – I got inspiration – colors, foliage – from the Just Us Girls Challenge Mood Board.

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by scoring and folding a 5 1/4″ x 6″ piece of Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP at 2″ on the long side – and then adhered it to a Basic Beige mat with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered it to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Misty Moonlight panel.

Using the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die, I cut out two Basic Beige rectangles.  I saved one for later (for inside the card).

With Liquid Glue, I adhered a piece of Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP to one of the Basic Beige rectangles.  Using Liquid Glue on the top (short) panel – I adhered the matted panel to the card front – centering it on the entire card base.

With the dies from the Inspiring Imperfections die set, I cut out two vases, a cup and a flower from the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP.

I adhered the two vases and the flower die cuts to the panel on the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a short length of Petal Pink 5/16″ Braided Trim, frayed the ends and adhered it with a line of Liquid glue.

On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped just the word “thanks” from the Inspiring Inspirations in Misty Moonlight ink.  Note: this is a photopolymer set so it’s easy to ink just the word “thanks”.

I used the banner die in Inspiring Imperfections to cut out the sentiment and to cut a banner from a piece of Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP.

I adhered the DSP banner with Liquid Glue.

Then I adhered the die cut cup and sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three gold Flower Accents and the card front was done.

For the inside, I stamped a second Inspiring Inspirations sentiment on the second Perennial Postage die cut rectangle.  In two corners I stamped the small floral image from the set in Petal Pink ink.

To get the panel aligned with the front panel – so it doesn’t show when the card is closed – I placed the inner liner on the back of the front panel with the card open – added Liquid Glue and closed the card.  That set the liner in place – and the Liquid Glue gave me a few minutes to tweak the alignment – and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little floral image in Petal Pink on the front…

…and more Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is a super easy fun fold and I love that front flap in the gorgeous gold-foiled Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP!  With the Inspiring Imperfections stamped images and dies that cut out the pretty vases – and more! – right from the DSP -it’s a winner all the way around!
