Stampin’ UP! A Little Cheer Z-Fold Joy Christmas Card with Video for Creative Creases #105

Happy 4th of July, y’all!  Hope you’re celebrating the birth of our great nation today – and all weekend!  We’re so blessed to live here!

Since today IS the 4th – I decided it would be good to do…a Christmas card!  Of course, right?!  I pulled out the brand new Online Exclusive  A Little Cheer stamp set and it’s three darling punches and made a cool Z-fold Joy Fold card.  Yeah – sort of a mash-up of two fun folds!  It gave me lots of space to show off some ALSO-new-Online Exclusive Need for Tweed DSP!  Take a look-see:

You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards –  at this month’s Creative Creases Challenge!   😎

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock that I scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″.  Then I folded the 2 1/8″ score line as a mountain and the 4 1/4″ score as a valley.  Thus…the Z-fold card!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere three pieces of the new Need for Tweed DSP to the two small panels of the Z-fold and on the back panel, too.

For the Joy Fold, I scored and folded a 4 1/4″ x 8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock at 4″.

I adhered a different design from the Need for Tweed DSP to the front of the Joy Fold.  Note: be sure to remember that the fold is going to be on the RIGHT – not the left (where it usually is!).

I used the second-from-smallest square Stylish Shapes die to cut out a piece of Crushed Curry Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP and adhered it to the center of the front of the Joy Fold card.

Using the next-to-smallest square Stylish Shapes die – I cut out a Basic White square.  Then I punched the star right in the middle using the A Little Cheer Punch.  I adhered that to the DSP square with Liquid Glue.

I stamped “merry” – from A Little Cheer – three times in Cherry Cobbler on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut them all out with my Paper Snips.  I adhered them with Liquid Glue.

With Liquid Glue, I adhered the Joy Fold to the back of the Z-fold card – centering it on the panel.

For the inside, I stamped a second A Little Cheer sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I stamped the little snowflake image three times in Old Olive ink and then adhered the panel inside the Joy Fold card.

For the front panel on the Z-Fold, I first stamped the A Little Cheer snowflake all over an Old Olive panel in Old Olive ink.  Then I adhered the panel to a Pecan Pie mat.

I cut a 2″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and a 2″ x 3 1/4″ piece of the Need for Tweed DSP (the same pattern I used on the front of the Joy Fold).  Stacking them up, I used one of the punches in the Hole Punch Pack to cut a hole in both pieces at once.  I used Paper Snips to cut angled corners.

I stamped the white tag with images from the A Little Cheer set – Pecan Pie “strings”, Crushed Curry stars, Cherry Cobbler stockings and Old Olive trees.  Then I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler.

I adhered the tag to the Need for Tweed tag at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I ran some Mossy Meadow & Gold 1/4″ Ribbon thru the top and tied a bow around it with white Baker’s Twine.  Then I adhered the tag to the Old Olive panel with Liquid Glue.

Using Liquid Glue just on the front panel of the Z-Fold, I adhered the whole thing to the front of the card.

I added five new white Shimmer Star Foam Stickers to the front panel and three on the front of the Joy Fold card and…my Z-Fold Joy Fold card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the A Little Cheer snowflakes in Old Olive on the front…

..and more of the Need for Tweed DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – Z-fold.  Check!  Joy Fold.  Check.  Z-Fold Joy Fold.  BOOM!  I love this fun fold – and it gives so much room to show off our wunnermus papers like this Need for Tweed DSP – which…I am loving already!!  And you MIGHT be tempted to fly-over the new A Little Cheer stamp set and it’s bundled Punch Pack.  But…don’t do that!  It’s going to be a really solid Christmas bundle, I think – and – like so many of our Online Exclusives – deserves a spot on your shelf! 🙂
