Good morning, y’all and happy Friday! Hope you’ve been having a good week and are looking forward to a couple of days off!
My card today is one that really showcases a new stamp set coming on 1 July in the Online Exclusives July Release – it’s called Artistic Leaves and it’s wonderful! I added it to a little Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP and…some more of my new fave thing to play with – the Metallic Textures Rub Ons (from the Annual Catalog). Take a look-see:
I started with a piece of Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP. Using the two leaf images from Artistic Leaves – this is a two-step stamp set – I stamped the base image a couple of times in stamped-off-once Pecan Pie ink and then added the second “highlight” image in stamped-off-once Peach Pie ink.
Then I added a couple of gold Metallic Textures Rub Ons – the hash-mark and the large splatter images – to give some more texture. I LOVE how it looks like I’ve embossed in Gold – but…I didn’t! 🙂
Around the leaves – I stamped the little splatter image from Artistic Leaves in stamped-off-once and full-strength Pecan Pie – just cuz it’s fun!
I applied the wood-grain silver Metallic Textures Rub On to a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I used a Blending Brush and colored the cardstock with Pecan Pie ink. I cut it down to about a 1″ x 2″ strip – and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Peach Pie cardstock, I added the silver wreath Metallic Textures Rub On – then cut it out with the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die. I brushed on a little Pecan Pie ink around the edges – with the almost-dry Blending Brush – and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock, I rubbed on a silver leaf Metallic Textures Rub On, cut it out with a smaller Stylish Shapes banner die and then used Paper Snips to cut the die cut in half length-wise.
I stamped the Artistic Leaves sentiment in Pecan Pie ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with the long Stylish Shapes banner die.
Using the sentiment as a guide – I adhered the two halves of the Calypso Coral banner to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I tied a Double-Loop Linen Thread bow (a Farrah Fawcett bow!) and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I added the sentiment over the top with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added Pecan Pie Neutrals Matte Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Artistic Leaves leaf in full strength Pecan Pie and Peach Pie inks. I added the splatters and a couple of Neutral Matte Dots, too.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pecan Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Artistic Leaves image and splatters on the front…
…and more of the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – you already know how enamored I am with the Metallic Textures Rub Ons, right? Let’s just say…I’m ordering another pack! 😉 Equally intriguing for me is the new Artistic Leaves stamp set – the leaves are so pretty – love the two-step technique – and the sentiments are very versatile! I know you’re excited to get it on 1 July when ALL the amazing new Online Exclusives debut!!
I hope you like!

Such a pretty card! Love those two-tone leaves and the rub-ons are awesome! Addy’s just busy watching Finn watch her. 😉
Yup – keeping a close eye on each other, for sure! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Beautiful card Mary. I was hoping someone would make a card with the gold rub on pack. Thank you for the inspiration.
You are most welcome – hope you get a chance to play with them, too! Thanks! 🙂
Don’t you wonder what Finn and Addy are plotting.?
Beautiful card too, thank you.
I do wonder what they’re thinking, sometimes, yes! Thanks, Mary Katherine! 🙂
Mary, this card is GORGEOUS! I love everything about it! I see a new stamp set and rub-ons in the very near future for me! 😁
Yes! You NEED the rub-ons FOR SURE – they’re awesome. And so is this stamp set, really. Okay – you NEED them both! :). Thanks, Pat! 🙂
