Stampin’ Up! Bright Borders Delight Congrats Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I went bright and Springy for today’s card – pulling out some Floral Delight DSP and pairing it with a couple of images and sentiments from the Bright Borders stamp set to make a pretty congratulations card!  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by matting some Floral Delight DSP on Old Olive cardstock for the card front.

From the center of a second, smaller piece of Floral Delight DSP, I used the next-to-largest Nested Essentials rectangle to cut out a “window”.

I cut a small piece of Basic White cardstock – just a bit bigger than the “window” I’d die cut and placed it behind the window opening.

Using the DSP window as a guide – I stamped one of the Bright Borders border images in Old Olive ink on the Basic White panel.

I picked up the DSP and then stamped one of the Bright Borders sentiments in Pretty in Pink ink.

I colored the little flowers on the stamped border with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel into place on an Old Olive mat.

I adhered the window panel onto the Old Olive mat (with the white panel adhered in place) using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I adhered the whole thing to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow from Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a scrunched up Glue Dot.

A few Mossy Meadow Faux Glass Dots finished off the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Bright Borders in Pretty in Pink ink on a Basic White panel.  In each of the corners, I stamped the small floral corner image in Old Olive ink. I added a little Daffodil Delight in the middle of each flower with the Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Pretty in Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Bright Borders corner in Old Olive on the front…

…and more of the Floral Delight DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this just so Spring-y and bright and fun?  The Floral Delight DSP is just wonderful and it will bring Spring flowers to all your projects!  Bright Borders has several sentiment options and pretty borders to customize your projects.  A sure recipe for sending a smile to someone special!
