Stampin’ UP! CAS Country Hearts of Elegance Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I went into the way-back machine for some beautiful Country Woods DSP – from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog – and added that to the new Online Exclusive Hearts of Elegance bundle for a pretty card to let someone special know you care.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I also grabbed some elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went across the top (Hearts – Designer Paper – Love Sentiment) and down the left column (Hearts – Gold/Silver – CAS Design).

I started by adhering some Misty Moonlight wood-grain paper from the Country Woods DSP onto a Misty Moonlight panel for the card front.

For the white panels – I cut two 1 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ strips of Basic White cardstock and tore one edge on each of them – down to about a 1 1/4″ wide strip.

Then I embossed both pieces in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder – and adhered them both to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the heart die in the Hearts of Elegance die set – the one that embosses a pretty design all over the die cut heart…

…I cut out two from Early Espresso Country Woods DSP and one from the same Misty Moonlight Country Woods DSP that I’d used on the card front.

I adhered the two Early Espresso hearts with Liquid Glue – then adhered the Misty Moonlight heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Gold Twisted Thread and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Hearts of Elegance sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a piece of Basic White cardstock.

Then I matted the panel on a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Adhesive-backed Heart Sequins and the card front was done.

For the inside, I stamped the heart image from Hearts of Elegance in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hearts of Elegance heart on the front…

…and more of the Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  It’s so easy to concentrate on NEW things – new Mini Catalog – new Online Exclusives – that’s it sometimes easy to forget about our older faves – like…Country Woods DSP!  It was – and still IS – amazeballs!  It’s perfect here to add a masculine vibe to this Valentine?  Friendship? card featuring the Online Exclusive Hearts of Elegance bundle!  And some Timber 3D Embossing added some nice texture to the clean, white (torn!) panels.
