Stampin’ Up! Citrus & Gingham Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The color challenge made me think of Spring and I went back to my 2024-2025 Annual Catalog for my card today – the Citrus Blooms Bundle and some beautiful Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP from the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog.  Take a look-see:

And here’s the color challenge we all worked with today.

I started by using Stampin’ Seal to adhere two pieces of the beautiful Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP onto a Pecan Pie card base – placing them at angles.

On a panel of Lemon Lolly cardstock, I stamped the large floral image from the Citrus Blooms stamp set in Peach Pie ink. I adhered the panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using dies from the Citrus Blooms set, I cut out two Old Olive leaves – one small and one large.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves to the card front.

I tied a simple bow from two pieces of Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the card front with a little Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Peach Pie cardstock, I stamped the Citrus Blooms sentiment in Pecan Pie ink and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the dies in the set to cut out five little white flowers – I needed two large and three small flowers.  I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I added a Lemon Lolly Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dot to each of the large flowers.  Using the bullet end of the Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend – I added a “dot” to the middle of the three small flowers.

I added five Peach Pie Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the large floral image from Citrus Blooms in Peach Pie ink on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Pecan Pie card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Citrus Blooms image in Peach Pie on the front…

…and I used Stampin’ Seal to add some Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I often forget to go delve back into the annual catalog goodies that I have but…that’s a mistake!  Things like the beautiful Citrus Blooms bundle are sitting there just waiting to be used!  And I think it worked perfectly with our color challenge AND the Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP, don’t you?!
