Stampin’ Up! Four Terrific Toadstools Garden Sneak Peek Card

Good morning on Monday, T-2 Days!  Yep, your kids and grands are counting and they’ve got just two more sleeps before the Big Day! 🙂

My card for today is the sweetest little thank you card ever and it’s another Sneak Peek of the uber-cute Terrific Toadstools bundle – with it’s quick and easy punch! – and the fun, bright and also FREE, Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP.  These go together like peanut butter and jelly and you can get them BOTH on 7 Jan 2025!!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by adhering a piece of Gray Granite paper from the Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP on a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to make the card front.  This fun paper is one of the free goodies that you’ll be able to select and get for FREE when you make a purchase of $60 or more during the Jan-Feb 2025 Sale-A-Bration, which starts on 7 Jan 2025!

I selected a second design from the DSP pack and located a good “Curve”.  Using Paper Snips, I cut along the natural curve in the paper…

…and then I used my Paper Trimmer to cut it down to 3 7/8″ wide.

I set the panel in place on the card front and used a pencil to lightly trace it onto the card front.  Then I used both grass images from Terrific Toadstools to stamp grass all along the curve in Granny Apple Green ink.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the cut-down panel to the card front – aligning the sides and the bottom edge.

On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped three toadstool tops in Poppy Parade ink.  I also stamped a toadstool top in stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green.  On a second couple of strips, I stamped five stems in Crumb Cake ink.

Using the bundled Terrific Toadstools Builder Punch, I cut out all the tops and stems.

I stamped the Terrific Toadstools sentiment in Poppy Parade on the Granny Apple Green top.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered stems to two of the Poppy Parade toadstool tops – the two oval tops.  Then – using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the backs of the tops – I adhered them to the card front – sliding their stems under the “ground”.

For the remaining toadstool tops – I adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I cut a couple of the stems into two pieces and adhered the top pieces to the toadstools.  Note: you’re doing this so that you can make the stems appear longer than they really are – so…you want them to be long enough to hide the ends under the toadstools on the panel!

The bottom halves of the stems are tucked under the “ground” and the other toadstool tops and adhered with Liquid Glue.  Confused?  Check the short video! 🙂

I added some new Party Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped one Terrific Toadstool in Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake on a Basic White panel.  Then I added some grass in Granny Apple Green.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Gray Granite card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Terrific Toadstool and a little grass on the front…

…and a little more of the Toadstool Gardens DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Every time I use the Terrific Toadstools bundle I like it just a little bit more!  It is just so stinkin’ cute!  And when you add the bright and cheerful Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ DSP – you’ve got yourself a winner.  Especially given that you can get the paper for FREE with a $60+ purchase during Sale-a-Bration starting on 7 Jan….well.  That’s just the icing on the sugar-cookie, isn’t it?! 🙂
