Good morning and Happy Veteran’s Day! To all the veterans out there – thank you all so much for the sacrifices you made in your lives to protect us and this country. And thank you to all your FAMILIES as well! You wrote a blank check and we owe you a debt of gratitude we can never repay.
My card today isn’t a card at all! It’s a fun birthday tag that I made with the Greetings of the Season dies (an online exclusive) and the Round We Go bundle – with some help from the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP! Take a look-see:
The colors and stars played well – I thought! – with the Hand Stamped Sentiments theme challenge.
I started by cutting the large tag die from Greetings of the Season from a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock.
Using stamps from the Round We Go set, I stamped some stars in Bubble Bath ink and a sentiment in Berry Burst ink.
On the back – I stamped “to” and “from” from the Round We Go set in Berry Burst ink.
From a piece of striped Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP, I cut two of the long dies in the Round We Go die set. I folded all the creases on both die cuts – making an accordion of both of them. Then I adhered the two strips together with Liquid Glue.
I used the medium-sized circle die in the set to cut out the Bubble Bath circle I needed to finish the pinwheel.
I made a card a while back – with a video! – and you can see how to assemble the pinwheel at that video right here. You can fast forward to about 4:30 in the video to get right to that part!
Once the pinwheel was assembled and adhered to the solid Bubble Bath circle…
…I used the small pinwheel die to cut out a Bubble Bath and a Berry Burst Glimmer Paper pinwheel.
I adhered the pinwheels together and then to center of the large pinwheel using Liquid Glue.
I looped some white Baker’s Twine thru the hole in the top of the tag and then used a double-length of the twine to tie a bow around it.
I added some Lemon Lolly Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots and the tag was done!
I put my Mom’s gift to Jules – a darling hat that she knitted! – into a gift bag and added my cheery tag!
Et Voila! The Greetings of the Season dies is a perfect set to have in your tool chest – quick and easy tags for year-round gift giving! And the Round We Go Bundle is tailored made for adding fun decor to gifts and cards alike!
