Stampin’ Up! CAS Simply Said Snowflake Nests of Winter Thank You Card

Hey guys – happy Sunday!  Hope your weekend – do you have tomorrow off? – is going well!  The snow’s finally stopped here in Colorado!  At least for a minute. 🙄

My card today is super simple and uses the strips of Nests of Winter DSP that I had leftover from when I made the pretty set of cards last week (see those right here!).  I did a little embossing with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and cut out a sweet little bird (also in the DSP!).  Simply Said provided my “thanks” sentiment once again.  Take a look-see:

Y’all – straight up.  I did an absolutely TERRIBLE job taking photos of this card – I plead…really-busy-trying-to-get-gone last week.  Please forgive me.  The card we’re doing toady is the card in the BACK of the above photo. 🙁

I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and matting it on Cherry Cobbler for the card front.

Then I cut the leftover 1 3/4″ x 12″ piece of Nests of Winter DSP strip down to 1 3/4″ x 5 1/8″ (I got two!) and then matted it on Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

I used the next-to-smallest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a little tweeter from the Nests of Winter DSP and then matted it on a Cherry Cobbler circle (cut with the next largest Stylish Shapes circle die).

I adhered the matted circle to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a little bow from some Mossy Meadow Natural Tones Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a little Liquid Glue.

Then I stamped the Simply Said sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a piece of Basic White, cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner and popped it over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some clear Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the corner-bough image from Winterly Tree Tops in Gray Granite ink in the corner of a Basic White panel.

I colored the corner-bough with Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.  Then I added some doodle-dots with the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Gray Granite card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

The envelope was decorated as you might imagine – with the bough on the front and the Nests of Winter DSP on the envelope flap – and can see from the photos above!

Et Voila!  I am so sorry for the dearth of photos – but..it’s such an easy card – I actually was able to make TWO of them with the remaining strip of Nests of Winter DSP – that not having photos shouldn’t be a problem for you!  The Winterly Tree Tops images and Simply Said sentiment worked so nicely together on this card design AND the cards from last week, don’t you think!?  With one pack of DSP – you could make 20 total cards!  BOOM!
