Morning, everyone! Hope you’re having a good week so far – is it a short week for you? With the 4th on Thursday, I figure some of you might have a four-day weekend and be planning a little vacay! So – scheduling note: I will NOT be doing a Thursday After Lunch Bunch YouTube Video this week, okay? So…make note!
On a brighter note, tomorrow is the day that you can pick up all the NEW Online Exclusives – like…the Golden Greenery bundle with the coordinating Greetings of the Season bundle. It all goes hand-in-glove with beautiful Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP. It just so happens that that’s what I used for today’s Christmas-in-July card! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch challenge over at the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram. You can see it on YouTube right here!
I started by adhering some of the new Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP onto a piece of Pecan Pie for the card front.
Using the third-from-largest Deckled Rectangle die, I cut another piece of the DSP – this one in Very Vanilla with Gold Foiling!
I adhered the die cut panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the Golden Greenery set, I cut out some greenery (and some whitery and goldery!).
– One Mossy Meadow large pine bough
– One Old Olive small pine bough
– One Basic White berries bough
– One gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paper bough
I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped two of the sentiment words from the new Greetings of the Season sentiment set in Pecan Pie ink. This is a sentiment-builder set – in photopolymer – so you can easily put together all sorts of greetings.
Then I used a long die from the Greetings of the Season set to cut out the sentiment.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
With two lengths of Linen Thread, I tied a simple bow and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the sentiment – covering the hole that the die cuts out.
I added some of the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-backed Berries (part of the suite and available tomorrow!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the second Greetings of the Season sentiment in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the two-step pine boughs – the detailed image in Mossy Meadow and the less detailed “fill” in Old Olive – several times at the top and bottom.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the pine boughs – you KNOW how much I love these!! – on the front…
…and more of the Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh my – how gorgeous is this new Season of Green & Gold Suite!? I love how the two bundles – Golden Greenery and Greetings of the Season – work together to give you sentiments AND beautiful greenery. And you know how much I love those two-step pine boughs! The stunning Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP is beautiful – and includes pretty images in green and gold foil that you can cut out with the dies in the Golden Greenery set. BOOM!
I hope you like!t

Finn Fan Fix

You know how everyone tells you there is no stupid question?
That’s not entirely accurate.
Know what IS a stupid question??
Maybe the stupidest??
“Do you want to ride to the bank, Finn?”
THAT is just silly AND stupid!
Also? That is NOT a picture of him with his front feet on the back floorboard. Nope – that is mid-jump.
Cuz he’s an athlete and stuff!
