Happy Sunday, y’all! Well – after getting ready for our company to arrive on Saturday – they called us around 8pm on FRIDAY and said they were an hour out! 😳 So – BIG push to finish the last minute little things I’d PLANNED to do yesterday and then…they were here! Finn was…beside himself with joy and happiness and wiggly-ness!! COMPANY!! 😂
The card I’ve made for you today is a pretty one featuring the new Sketched Butterflies bundle – and a couple of our wonderful new 2024-2026 In Colors. Take a look-see:
The layout was inspired by the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
I started by brushing Summer Splash ink in the middle of a Basic White panel with a small Blending Brush. I adhered it to a Basic Black mat with Liquid Glue for the card front.
On another piece of Basic White, I stamped a few of the Sketched Butterflies in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I cut them out with the coordinating dies in the bundle.
I used the three-butterfly die to cut out some Basic White butterflies AND some Summer Splash Glimmer butterflies. With Paper Snips, I snipped them apart.
I adhered the large butterfly to the center of the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from Sketched Butterflies in Pretty In Pink and then cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die. Then I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere one of the stamped and die cut butterflies near the top and the three Basic White butterflies around the sentiment and large center butterfly.
I added the Glimmer die cuts over the corresponding Basic White butterflies with Liquid Glue.
I added the final stamped-and-die-cut butterfly with a Dimensional – letting it overlap the sentiment a bit.
I cut out two more Glimmer butterflies with the smallest detailed die in the set and adhered them with Liquid Glue.
I added a few Pretty in Pink Adhesive-backed Dappled Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second Sketched Butterflies sentiment in Pretty in Pink on a Basic White panel. Then I stamped the four-butterflies image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Pretty in Pink card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the four-butterfly image in Tuxedo Black on the front…
…and the large Sketched Butterfly image in Tuxedo Black on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love these Sketched Butterflies – they look EXACTLY like pencil-drawn butterflies! And having pretty sentiments AND die cuts is sweet icing on the cake! 🙂
I hope you like!
