Stampin’ Up! Poetic Notes of Nature Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a Theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Thank you cards are my most-needed and most-made cards, so…this week’s theme was right up my alley!  I pulled out one of my fave bundles – the Notes of Nature bundle – and paired it with some pretty Poetic Expressions DSP.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our challenge!

I also borrowed some elements from this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I went across the bottom with Flowers, Dots and Green!

I started by adhering a piece of Poetic Expressions DSP to a Boho Blue mat for the card front.  I matted a second – smaller – piece on Boho Blue and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Notes of Nature sentiment in Moody Mauve ink.  Over the top, I stamped the dots image a few times in Bubble Bath ink.

I used the second-from-smallest circle die in the Stylish Shapes set to cut out the sentiment. Then I adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the dies in the Notes of Nature dies to cut out some foliage:

– I cut out two large leaves from Lost Lagoon Fine Shimmer Paper.

– I cut out three medium leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock.

– I cut out five small leaves from Boho Blue cardstock.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered all but the small Boho Blue leaves and one Mossy Meadow leaf to the card front – tucking them in and under the bow.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the small flower from Notes of Nature in Mossy Meadow ink.  Using my Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends and the Light Mossy Meadow Blend, I colored the image.

Then I cut it out with the coordinating die in the Notes of Nature set and adhered it to the sentiment/card front with a little Liquid Glue and a double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensional.

I adhered the remaining die cut leaves with Liquid Glue – tucking them into the collage and under the stamped & die cut flower.

I added some Moody Mauve 2023-2025 In Color Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Notes of Nature flower image in Mossy Meadow in the bottom corners of a Basic White panel.  Then I colored them with the Blends as I’d done for the flower on the front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Boho Blue mat and into my Moody Mauve card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Notes of Nature flower on the front…

…and more Poetic Expressions DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness – I DO love the foliage die cuts in the Notes of Nature set – and the wonderful images and sentiments in the bundled stamp set, don’t you?!  And I think they all play perfectly with the Poetic Expressions DSP – which has turned out to be one of my favorites!!
