Stampin’ Up! Bee Mine – Valentine…Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a timely Theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I stuck with a new-old favorite – the Bee My Valentine bundle and uber-adorable Bee Mine DSP for today’s thematic card.  With the help of some die cuts from the Perennial Postage die set (one of my faves EVER!) – I pulled together a bright and cheerful card for Valentine’s!  Take a look-see:

And – can you guess our theme!? 🤔

The layout is from the Saturday Sketch challenge this week!

And I used a bunch of elements as a result of this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe challenge board. I pretty much used everything BUT the “anything but a card” and “ribbon” squares!

I started by adhering a full-size panel of the Bee Mine DSP to the front of a Thick Basic White card base using Liquid Glue.

For the next elements – I used several of the dies in the Perennial Postage die set.  Use this picture as a guide!

I cut out all the various pieces and parts and then used Liquid Glue to adhere the largest die cut (the Sweet Sorbet piece, with the sweet white flowers) to the card front.

To make the small die cut (the one in Petal Pink with the red hearts) a little bigger, I cut it in half and adhered the two pieces to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I added the next two pieces, also with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Bee My Valentine sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink and then cut it out with the Perennial Postage die.

I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the bee stripes from Bee My Valentine in Sweet Sorbet ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock, then added the body image in Petal Pink.  I cut it out using the Bee Builder Punch.

I stamped a face – there are a few to choose from! – in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and added some “cheeks” (bees have cheeks, right?!?) with my Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used the punch to cut out two hearts from Vellum cardstock and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the body – one on the front and one on the back.

I stamped the antenna on Basic White in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and used the littlest heart in the Bee Builder Punch to cut it out.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered it onto the back of the bee.

I used that same little heart to cut out four hearts from the Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Textured Shimmer Paper.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the little hearts to the card front – and one on the bee (cuz it’s cute AND it hides the glue I used to attach the wing!). And the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel.  I added the bee-trail in Petal Pink, the bee (stamped like on the front – plus Petal Pink wings!) – and a few extra Sweet Sorbet hearts!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into the Thick Basic White card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got Bee My Valentine Sweet Sorbet hearts and the Petal Pink bee-trail on the front…

…and more Bee Mine DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The combination of the Perennial Postage dies with the wunnermus-ly cute Bee Mine DSP is a match made in heaven!  The little buzzer-bee is….super cute and so easy and fun to make, thanks to the fun Bee My Valentine stamp set and bundled Bee Builder Punch!
