Stampin’ Up! Sunny Days Filled With Happiness Front Flap Birthday Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning – and happy Friday!  Hope you’ve had a great week and are headed into a good weekend!

I was recently invited to be a Guest Design Team member for the Creative Creases Challenge.  I said yes, cuz…it’s ALL fun folds ALL the time!  Right up my alley!

The challenge goes live every other Friday at 5am Eastern and…the theme is….Anything Goes with a Fun Fold!  I hope that y’all will start letting your fun-fold-flags-fly and join in each week!

For my card today, I used a super simple fun fold that’s one of my faves – a Front Flap Fold.  And I showcased a “fly-over” stamp set called Filled With Happiness from the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.  Along with that, I used the gorgeous – this really is one of my favorite new DSPs – Sunny Days DSP (which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order before shipping & tax).  Take a look-see:

I started with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock as my card base.

I matted some of the pretty Sunny Days DSP on Petal Pink using Liquid Glue – and then I adhered the matted panel to the Shaded Spruce card base.

Y’all – how gorgeous is that Sunny Days DSP? Thru the end of Sale-A-Bration on 29 Feb, you’re going to be able to pick this pack of paper as your free gift when you place an order of $50 or greater (before shipping and tax).  I mean…look at it!

If that’s not summer-on-paper, I don’t know what is!

For the small card, I used a 3″ x 8″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock that I scored and folded at 4″.

On a smaller piece of Pool Party paper from the Sunny Days DSP, I stamped the birthday sentiment image from the Filled With Happiness in Shaded Spruce ink.  Then I matted the panel on a Shaded Spruce mat.

I stamped the image again in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.

Using my Light Poppy Parade and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends, I colored the floral portion of the image.

I used Pool Party Blends to color the bird.  But – on the card I made on the video, we decided to color him with Daffodil Delight Blends.

Using the Modern Oval Punch, I cut out the center section of the image and popped it onto the small card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the card front to the front of the small Petal Pink card base.

Using Liquid Glue on the back of the little card base, I adhered it to the card base.  You can center it – or offset it like I did.  It’s totally up to you – but…I was showing off those pretty flowers on the DSP!

For the inside, I stamped the small floral image from Filled with Happiness set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I colored them with the Light Poppy Parade and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into the small card base and the card was done!

Which one do you like better?  I love them both but…I’m leaning to the Daffodil Delight bird!

Finn Fan Fix

So – search “dog beds for humans” on the internet.

Yes. It’s a thing.

The Plufl Human Dog Bed

Because – yeah.  Everyone wants to cuddle with their dog.  In THEIR bed.

Said no real human ever.

Not for nuthin’ – I don’t think Finn is really down for sharing, either.

Nope.  Not for this family, Mom!  YOU get in YOUR bed and I’LL get in MINE!

Awesome fun fold card! Love the designer paper that you’ve used on the background too. Yeah…no human/dog bed here either. Ginny needs her space and I need mine. 😉
