Good morning and happy Saturday! When you read this, I’ll be running around like a chicken with my head cut off – trying to get Cady fed, the Finn fed, my hair dry, maybe some make-up so I don’t scare Katelyn into going into labor…we’re trying to head south at 8. 😳😳😳. There’s a 60-40 shot that I’ll forget to take SOMEthing – regardless of my carefully built list. Fingers crossed!

Speaking of…this one is a card that could be a Pet Sympathy card, or a regular sympathy card, or even just a “Hey – I’ve got you!” card! It features the new Doggone Friendly stamp set (coming on 4 Jan in the new Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalog) and the Softly Sophisticated bundle – a FREE goody during the Jan – Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration. The Softly Sophisticated bundle is one of the coolest free goodies in the Sale-a-Bration flyer. It’s got a stamp set AND a pretty 3D Embossing Folder – and you can select it when you make a $100 purchase – before shipping & tax – 4 Jan – 29 Feb!
I used the embossing folder to emboss a Lost Lagoon panel which I adhered to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base with Liquid Glue.
Next, I used the Doggone Friendly stamp to stamp a panel of Lost Lagoon cardstock with Pretty Peacock ink. This is the cutest stamp set – I love all their cute faces, don’t you? Rumor has it that these are all dogs who own Stampin’ Up! employees!! 🙂
With a Blue Watercolor Pencil I colored select parts of the stamped image. Like…collars, scarves, hair bows. 🙂
I used a White Watercolor Pencil to color dog parts. I wasn’t coloring the whole image – just highlighting it a bit!
I used the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Vellum cardstock circle, which I then embossed in the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder.
I used my Paper Trimmer to slice a little bit off one side of the circle and then used Stampin’ Seal to adhere it to the panel.
With Stampin’ Seal, again, I adhered a loop of Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon (another pretty product coming SOON!!).
On a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Softly Sophisticated in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with White embossing powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.
When it was cool, I cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die, sliced off one end and popped it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some new (avail on 4 Jan) Pretty Peacock gems from the Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems – and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a Softly Sophisticated sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White panel. Across the bottom, I stamped one of the stem images from the set a couple times in Lost Lagoon and then added the flowers in Blueberry Bushel ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into the Lost Lagoon card base, popped the card front on (at a jaunty angle) with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Softly Sophisticated flowers twice on the front…
…and I stamped them three times on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Doggone Friendly is just so…wait for it…doggone cute! I love it. Now – to be honest I’d have centered the Aussie a little more but…that’s just me! And it’s very cool that – during Sale-A-Bration – you can pick up a great stamp set AND a 3D Embossing Folder with just a $100 purchase! Softly Sophisticated is so pretty – I love the embossing folder! – and I really think you’re going to want it!
