Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays! Be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I went back to a gorgeous stamp set – Radiant Light – to take centerstage for my card today. And – a very cool stand-alone die – called the Tiny Christmas Trees Die – helps to make a fun backdrop atop A Walk in the Forest DSP. Take a look-see!
The layout for this one is from the current MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge!
I started by adhering a full panel of A Walk in the Forest DSP to the front of a Garden Green card base using Liquid Glue.
Next up, I used the Tiny Christmas Trees Die (this is ONE big die that cuts out a whole panel’s worth of little trees in one go!) on a Basic White panel.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Radiant Light image in Garden Green ink. Using the 7th-from-largest Deckled Circle die, I cut out the image.
Using Stampin’ Blends – in Dark Daffodil Delight (flames), Light Cherry Cobbler (berries), Light Pretty Peacock (candles) and Light Old Olive (leaves) – I colored the image.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the circle to the die cut Basic White panel – with part of the circle hanging off the edge. Then I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut off the excess.
I used a LOT of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the die cut panel to the front of the card.
I tied a small silver bow from the Simply Elegant Trim and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue.
On a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock, I stamped the Radiant Light sentiment in Versamark Ink on a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, sprinkled it with white Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.
When the powder was cool, I adhered it over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the little Radiant Light berry sprigs in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the corners of a Basic White panel. I colored them with Light Cherry Cobbler and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and then into the Garden Green cardstock and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Radiant Light sprigs on the front…
…and more A Walk in the Forest DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Radiant Light is such a pretty set – but…you might have overlooked it! And – the Tiny Christmas Trees Die is even EASIER to miss! But it’s a fun one – and you get a bunch of little die cut trees that would be great for a Christmas shaker card! A Walk in the Forest DSP is so pretty – AND the trees in it coordinate perfectly with the Merriest Trees Die set!
I hope you like!
