Stampin’ Up! CAS Gorgeously Made Night of Flight Hello Card

Good morning from Las Vegas and the 2023 Stampin’ Up! Backstage event!  We got here in fine fashion yesterday (whew) and got settled into our rooms and started to get our bearings.  Wow!  What a place this is!  And their AC works GOOOD!! Check out down below – I’ve annexed the FFF while I’m gone for some peeks at the haps here in Vegas! 🙂

Today’s card harkens back to the Annual Catalog and showcases a Host Exclusive stamp set called Night of Flight!  It’s backed up with images, a sentiment and die cut from the pretty Gorgeously Made bundle. Take a look-see:

I was inspired by the CAS theme challenge over at The Paper Players this week.

And the Global Design Project CASE The Designer challenge inspired the colors!

I started by stamping a Basic White panel twice with the script image from Gorgeously Made in stamped-off-once Lemon Lolly ink.

Then I stamped the leaf image from Gorgeously Made in Lost Lagoon ink and used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bubble Bath mat.

Using the leaf die in the Gorgeously Made die set – I cut out a Pretty Peacock leaf and adhered it with a little bit of Liquid Glue.

Then I stamped the simple sentiment from Gorgeously Made in Pretty Peacock ink.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the beautiful moth image from Night of Flight in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (this set can only be purchased using Stampin’ Rewards – which you can earn by hosting a workshop OR placing an individual order over $150 in retail!).  I colored him with my Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.

Then I cut him out with my awesome SU Paper Snips! 😉

I tied a Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine simple bow and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

Then I popped the fussy cut moth over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Pretty Peacock pretties from the Adhesive-backed Sequins Trio and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Gorgeously Made leaf and script in the corner of a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bubble Bath mat and into my Lost Lagoon card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gorgeously Made leaf and script on the front…

…and a little Pretty Peacock Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Pretty and simple!  Not my normal wheelhouse but…I love how it turned out – and hope you do, too!  The Night of Flight host-exclusive set is so pretty – with all sorts of butterflies and moths to play with!  And Gorgeously Made is one of my favorite bundles in the Annual Catalog!  It’s simply…well…GORGEOUS!

Finn Fan Fix

He’s underage – so….no Las Vegas for Finn!  But – he’ll be back soon!

But – here’s some sights from yesterday!

Flying in over Lake Mead – there’s the Hoover Dam!

There was some virga off in the distance.

Las Vegas VORTAC! 😉

The airport is right by the Strip….

…and I can see it from my room, too.   Betting it’ll look a lot cooler in the dark!  Not that roof.  It will not look any cooler. 🤷‍♀️

But the resort is very fancy – and the rooms nice!

The bathroom is especially posh – might have to take a soak!

Amy and I got checked in and picked up our conference “swag”.

It started with a fun tote and pretty scarf….

..and the inside revealed…a notebook for the conference, some patches and a box of assorted pins, pens, buttons and notepads!

A few of my customers (who have become friends over the years) met us in the resort for dunner (not lunch – not dinner…dunner.  Linner??  Duncher??).  We ended up spending…oh my gosh – about 3 hours just sitting and talking and getting to know one another.  It was a wonderful time, indeed!

Thank you, thank you, Maryanne, Betty and Vickie!!

We’re heading out pretty quick to the Sweets & Swaps Welcome event.  Then – tomorrow morning, we’re kicking off with the agenda!
