Stampin’ Up! Botanical Here’s To Love Congratulations for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I finally acquired a pretty set that I’d been eye-balling for a minute – called Here’s to Love.  It’s just got the prettiest images – and sentiments in beautiful fonts!  Since it needed some foliage – I called on the Meadow Die set – and set it all atop the wunnermus Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I was a Featured Stamper over at the Color Throwdown challenge this week and that’s where my color palette came from this week!

I started by adhering a piece of beautiful plaid paper from the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on a Pool Party card base using Liquid Glue.

I stamped the pretty bride image from Here’s To Love in Basic Gray on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Then I cut it out with the fourth-from-largest Deckled Rectangle die.

I used the Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend very lightly on the folds of her dress – and the Medium Light (SU800) Stampin’ Blend to touch up her hair.

Then I adhered the panel to the front of the card with Liquid Glue.

I used two dies from the Meadow set to cut out a leaf and a flower from Basic White cardstock. I colored the leaf die cut with my Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends – using the Light Lost Lagoon Blend to add some depth and shading.

The flower die cut I colored with the Light and Dark Petal Pink – with the Light Calypso Coral blend to add some depth. I colored its stems and leaves with the Pool Party Blends.

I adhered the two die cuts to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a small bow from Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a strip of Basic White, I stamped the Here’s To Love sentiment in Basic Gray.  Then I snipped banner ends and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some vanilla Classic Matte Dots to the flower centers and around the card front – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the little bouquet from Here’s To Love in Basic Gray in the corner of a Basic White panel.  I colored it with the Petal Pink, Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and then into the Pool Party card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the bouquet on the front…

…and more of that amazing Inked Botanicals DSP plaid on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! I think that the bride in Here’s To Love is one of the most elegant images I’ve ever seen.  I really love it!  The Meadow Die set is chock-a-block full of foliage dies – so you can add them to any of your projects.  And – I am really really loving the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP – it is fast becoming one of my favorites!
