Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I got a new stamp set just in time for this one – it’s the Courage & Faith set – and I love the wonderful Biblical sentiments and pretty images. I paired it with some roses from the Irresistible Blooms Die set and some Hello Irresistible DSP (both are Online Exclusive products!). Take a look-see:
And here’s the sketch we were all working with this week!
And I selected some design elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week. I went down the left column (tearing – Bible Verse – Black Cardbase) – and across the bottom (Black Cardbase – White Heat Embossing – Roses).
I started out by tearing two pieces of Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ DSP down to size and adhering them to my Basic Black card base using Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped two of the Courage & Faith left-curving leaves in Lost Lagoon ink and fussy cut them with my Paper Snips.
On another design of the Hello, Irresistible DSP, I stamped the Courage & Faith sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.
I used the third-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out the sentiment and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then, using Dimensionals and Liquid Glue, I adhered the two fussy cut leaves to the card front.
I used the die in the Irresistible Blooms set to cut out a rose from one of the pieces of Hello, Irresistible DSP.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a loop-d-doo of Petal Pink ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack.
Then I added the die cut rose over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Loose Frosted Dots with Liquid Glue – using my Take Your Pick tool (the putty end!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Courage & Faith leaves in Lost Lagoon on a Basic White cardstock panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into the Basic Black card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Courage & Faith leaves on the front…
…and more Hello, Irresistible DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Courage & Faith stamp set is a little bit of a flyover set but…I love the sentiments and pretty floral images.
Black and pink and green – one of my fave color combos – is perfectly executed with the gorgeous Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ DSP (which, while unavailable right this second – is showing that it should be back in stock the week of 26 Jun and on sale!). The pretty Irresistible Blooms die set even cuts out the wunnermus flowers in the DSP!! YEAH!
