Stampin’ Up! Inked & Tiled Hello Friend for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I’d had my eye on the Inked & Tiled punch bundle – the florals are really pretty – and in particular the stunning coordinating Inked Botanicals DSP – so…this sketch gave me a great chance to showcase that paper!  Take a look-see:

And here’s the sketch we were all working with!

I started by matting a piece of gorgeous Inked Botanicals DSP on Petal Pink cardstock to make the card front.

Then I matted a smaller piece – also on Petal Pink! – and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Seal – I adhered a loop-de-doop of new Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon in the top corner.

I adhered a strip of the Inked Botanicals DSP over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The next layer is a second strip of Inked Botanicals.  I placed the strip into the Inked & Tiled Punch – from the BACK!  When I did that – and punched – I got the interesting end on the DSP strip! 😉

I adhered the punched strip with Liquid Glue.

Using the same punch, I punched a Petal Pink shape.  On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Inked & Tiled sentiment in Lost Lagoon and punched it out as well.

I used the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker to add some faux stitches around the sentiment.

Then I adhered the two shapes together with Liquid Glue and popped it all in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Calypso Coral gems from the Iridescent Pastel Gems and the card front was done!

On the inside, I inked one of the floral images from Inked & Tiled in Lost Lagoon and stamped it in the corner twice without re-inking between stamps.  Then I added the little …uhm…splatter?…image a couple three times in Petal Pink ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and then into my Lost Lagoon card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Inked & Tiled florals and…splatter…on the front…

…and more Inked Botanicals DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Lost Lagoon is fast filling the void in my heart left by the departure of Soft Succulent – and I LOVE it in this stunning Inked Botanicals DSP!  Add some sweet sentiments and beautiful florals from the Inked & Tiled bundle and you’re going to be very happy with the result, I promise!
