Stampin’ Up! Celebrate with Bright Beautiful Balloons Card

Good morning and Happy Sunday! It’s get-on-the-boat day!  Whoo-hoo!!  Can’t wait to start sharing pics of Norway and cheese and fjords and chocolate and mountains and waffles….and – you might want to keep an eye out for a pop-up video!  Amy and I HAVE been known to do such things on these trips! 🙂

My card today is apropos for Embarkation day cuz…I feel like CELEBRATING!  The Beautiful Balloons stamp set and dies – set atop the cheeriest paper EVER – the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP – is just the thing!  Take a look-see:

The fun color palette is from the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week!

I started by adhering a piece of the Bright & Beautiful DSP to a Blueberry Bushel mat using Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I first stamped the fun, rounded sentiment from Beautiful Balloons in Berry Burst ink.

Then I added different balloon images all over in stamped-off-once Berry Burst and stamped-off-once Blueberry Bushel.  No rhyme.  No reason.  Just…all over!  I also stamped some Berry Burst strings.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the large balloon a few times in Lemon Lolly ink.  I added the stars to the balloons in Berry Burst.  Then I cut them out with the dies in the bundled Beautiful Balloons die set.

I popped one of the balloons onto the panel – right under the sentiment – with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The rest of the balloons are also adhered with Dimensionals and I trimmed them down so they’d “fly” off the top and edges of the panel.

When the panel was suitably cheery, I matted it on Blueberry Bushel and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the fun little die to cut out a Berry Burst streamer doohickey and adhered it under the middle balloon with Liquid Glue – and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped three balloons – one in Lemon Lolly, one in stamped-off-once Blueberry Bushel and the third in stamped-off-once Berry Burst – on a Basic White panel. It’s a fruit salad on a card! I also added a couple Berry Burst strings.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blueberry Bushel mat and into my Berry Burst card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the fruit salad of balloons on the front…

…and more Bright & Beautiful DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Let’s Paaaarty!!  Beautiful Balloons and Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP go together like cake and ice cream!  Birthday or random celebration…it’s got you covered! 🙂

Hi Mary. I absolutely love this card. However when I went to case it I was a little confused with your cardstock cuts for the project. I did eventually figure it out for myself but thought you might like to know in case you want to adjust the tutorial. Trips and videos and packing and Finn …, yikes can’t imagine getting all that done before your vacay. Love and appreciate the updates. I live vicariously through you lol
