Stampin’ Up! All ABOARD! Anthem of the Seas is Headed to Norway!

Well – when you read this – we’ll have had our Stampin’ Up! General Session and…will be at lunch.  Probably.  This afternoon we’re doing the IFly Skydiving thingy and the Northern Star Experience – an articulating arm that rises above the ship’s deck some 300 feet!!  Looking forward to both of those things!

We got onto the ship yesterday around 1:15 pm – after a quick flight from Dublin and then a bus ride from Heathrow of about an hour and a half.

NOT our ship…

OUR ship!

Tell ya what – this is one BIG mamajamma, y’all!

Yes – that’s a giraffe – and a climbing wall! – on the back!

Wayne’s bag was right outside our cabin door when we got there – but mine took a couple hours.  A bit…stressful hoping it wasn’t on that Norwegian Star parked next door to us!!

Our room is nice – not huge, but plenty – with a nice balcony.

Stampin’ Up! had put some cupcakes in to tide us over until dinner.  Can’t go TOO long without eating!  It’s the code of the sea!! 😉

Another cool thing this trip was that SU treated us all to the Refreshment Package.  I am ridiculously grateful for Diet A&W root beer all cruise long – thanks, Stampin’ Up!

We pulled out of the Southhampton Docks just before dinner and heard…

We were able to pick up our name badges and then – since it HAD been nearly two hours since we’d eaten lunch…it was time for dinner! 🤦‍♀️

We had a nice dinner in the Main Dining Room – sat next to Rachel Tessman and her husband.  They’d spent the week prior to the cruise in Scotland doing an “Outlander Tour”.  So Rachel and I discussed the books and the Starz series and their tour until we were able to make ourselves stop!  THAT trip is now on MY bucket list! 🙂

Now – we’re off to bed.  Hoping I can persuade Wayne to let us keep the balcony door cracked (yes, it might get a little chilly but…) so I can sleep to the sound of the water going by!  Also hoping to get my butt outta the bed and maybe hit the treadmill in the morning…but…THAT might be a bridge too far! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

So…I’m now required to remind everyone that fewer than 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators earn one of these incentive trips!  It’s a lot of hard work – and…there’s no guarantee at all that you’d earn one if you signed up to be on the team!  There’s lots of OTHER good reasons to be a demo – and this one is certainly on the table! – but…my results aren’t typical!  Okay?  Okay! Done and done!

  1. What a fantastic trip you are already having. I would love that Outlander Tour!

I know – I think it’s going to have to happen!! Thank you, Nel! 🙂

  2. Awesome pictures! Can’t wait to see you flying in the big machine. 🙂 Glad that Finn is still getting his photo taken every day…hate for him to get out of practice on that. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Truth! He has to keep his camera currency up to date! Thanks, Amy! Have I mentioned how much fun we’re having with you and Lance?! 🙂

  3. Such a wonderful trip. I’ve been watching Rachel T. create her PP April alternatives. I’ll be finishing up today. Glad you got to talk to her as I know you loved Outlander. Thanks for the paparazzi shot!

    • stampsnlingers

I do love it – and it was really fun chatting with her and Tim about their trip! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

Do I see Finn in the pool?
I’m guessing the mud bath look they have waits for full wash end of their stay.

    • stampsnlingers

I hadn’t seen him in the pool – just the water trough! I hope he’s getting to swim! 🤷‍♀️. Thanks, Beth! 🙂

  5. Love hearing about your trip. Can’t wait to hear more.

What a fabulous trip, and I am happy to have some responsibility for it…be it small. FYI…one of my favorite beverages is Diet A&W Root Beer…that ship has good taste.

I am drinking my fair share of it (and then some!) – it’s wonderful! Thank YOU, my friend! 🙂

Hey Mary…..so glad when you share pictures!! so fun to see where you are and what is going on……..I couldn’t believe that giraffe….I mean, like are you on the ARK?? I love cruising…….even the narrow rooms…….at least you have a balcony, and that is the BEST. I love the sound of the water too…and I love bagpipes too!! So happy for you. And yes, I’ve been looking for Finn…..he is having fun!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you, Faith – I’m really glad you’re enjoying the pics! 🙂

Anchors aweigh! Fair winds and following seas to you…
Outlander tour? Hard to resist that, as if Scotland wouldn’t be enough.

    • stampsnlingers

Right?! It sounded like it was a wonderful trip! 🙂

  9. JoyAnn

Thank you for sharing your pics. I am a hobby demo but watch your lives and enjoy them so much. Now to see parts of your Norway trip is awesome. I love seeing Flin. Where are the ponies. Did they go to camp?

    • stampsnlingers

Glad you’re enjoying the pics, JoyAnn! :). Cady is the only pony left – and she stayed home. We have a great horse-and-house watcher who makes sure her pampering continues!! :). Thanks so much! 🙂
