Stampin’ Up! Glorious Layered Leaves and Boughs Hello Card

Well, good Monday morning, y’all!  We are down to the wire!  Today is all about making sure everything fits in the suitcase for SURE – we did some final organizing and fit-checking yesterday but…I need it to be a done deal before collapsing in bed tonight!  We’re also gathering up Mr. Finn’s goods – his bed, maybe a toy, plenty of bones, bucket o’ food, many cans of pumpkin.  AND – I’m shoving the guilt down hard – cuz…I KNOW he’s going to be fine and have a great time and all the things.  But…  🥹🥹🥹

Today’s card is really easy – and super pretty (why yes, yes I AM modest!) – thanks to the new Layering Leaves stamp set which coordinates with the carried-over Bough Punch!  Perfect Glorious Gingham DSP sets the stage – and…a trellis from Twisted Rope 3D-embossed cardstock creates the framework.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!

I started by adhering a piece of Pretty Peacock paper from the Glorious Gingham DSP pack to a Pretty Peacock card base using Liquid Glue.

Next up, I embossed a panel of Basic White cardstock in the new Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder.  I like to use a larger-than-I-need panel and then cut it down to size – that helps keep all the measurements accurate when embossing!

I cut the panel into five 1″ x 4″ strips and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped two leaf-outline images from Layering Leaves in Granny Apple Green ink – then stamped the fill image in Parakeet Party.  I stamped a final leaf image in Bubble Bath ink.

Using the Bough Punch, I cut out the three stamped leaf images – and two small branches from a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock.

I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a Double Loop Linen Thread Bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Want to see how I make these cool bows?  Click here for a Short Video!

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Layering Leaves in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I matted it on Bubble Bath cardstock and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals!

I added some – five! – Pretty Peacock sequins from the Adhesive-backed Sequins Trio and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Layering Leaves again in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party on a Basic White panel.  Then I added some more of the sequins.  They’re nice and flat and too pretty to NOT add! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bubble Bath panel and into the Pretty Peacock card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Layering Leaves on the front…

…and more Glorious Gingham DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – y’all know I love gingham so…the Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP is right up my alley!  And the pretty Layering Leaves…wow!  Between the three different styles of leaves – that all work with the Bough Punch – and the diverse group of sentiments in a beautiful font…

…it’s a total keeper!  I also love the new Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder, don’t you?! 🙂

  1. Pretty card! Love the clean design. The greenery images are so pretty too! Poor Finn…I’m not sure that he’ll survive at the doggy daycare with the pool and fans and his bed and toys. You’ll have to completely retrain him to lick bowls when he gets home. 😉

LOL – yes, I’m sure there will need to be a full debriefing!! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

Finn is going to have a grand adventure! But no bowl licking? That doesn’t seem fair!
