Happy Day, y’all! It is the LAST DAY of April. Sheesh. The year is just racing by, isn’ it?!?
I’ve got a cool – and easy! – fun fold for you today – one that really lets our new Fresh as a Daisy DSP shine like the star that it is! And, to give it just the tiniest hand, the returning Color & Contour stamp set, with its coordinating Scalloped Contorus dies, is perfect. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge – when I saw it I thought FUN FOLD!
And with splatters of rain showers and beautiful flowers, I played along with the theme challenge at the Global Design Project this week.
I started by matting some gorgeous Pretty Peacock/Garden Green paper from the amazing Fresh as a Daisy DSP (y’all – we’re only like…TWO days away from you being able to get this wunnermus paper for yourself!) on Crushed Curry for the card front.
Next up, I embossed a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock in the splatter folder from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders – then I matted it on Crushed Curry and added it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I cut a spectacular piece of Bubble Bath-backed daisies – there are SO many beautiful papers in this pack! – and matted it on Pretty Peacock – that’s the small card front.
I stamped the Color & Contours sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with a Scalloped Contours die. I am SO glad this is carrying over, aren’t you?!).
I popped the sentiment onto the small card front and added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies and the small card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second Color & Contours sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a small Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the sweet Color & Contour flower in Bubble Bath ink. And – since they’re nice and flat – I added another Brushed Brass Butterfly.
I adhered the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into a small Crushed Curry card base, adhered the small card front to the front of the card base with more Liquid Glue and…I was ready to complete the card by adhering the small card to the larger card base with more Liquid Glue!
Easy peasy, right?? 🙂
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Color & Contours flower in Bubble Bath on the front…
…and more Fresh as a Daisy DSP on the envelope flap. Tip: on the video, I stamped the DSP with the Color & Contour flower in Pretty Peacock – and it’s a nice little “bump”. Check it out!
Et Voila! I love fun folds like this – SUPER easy but SUPER…dare I say…FUN? 🤷♀️🤷♀️. This particular fold is perfect for really showcasing gorgeous Fresh as a Daisy DSP – and this particular paper is simply stunning! Of course, the Color & Contour stamp set – and amazeballs Scalloped Contours dies – is one of my absolute favorites. And we get it for at least another year! Whoo-hoo!!
