Stampin’ Up! Little Monkey Bundle Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Good Friday!  Hoping your week has been good and that you have something nice planned for the weekend and for Easter!

My card today is a Sneak Peek of a bundle from the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog – called the Little Monkey bundle!  This is an adorable Punch bundle – and don’t we all LOVE punches?!  You’ll also spy some new colors!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week!

And – these fun little monkeys are kinda perfect for The Paper Players theme challenge!

I started by stamping a sentiment from the Little Monkey set (available on 2 May!) in Wild Wheat – one of the new 2023 – 2025 In Colors! – on a Basic White panel.  Then I adhered the panel to a Pecan Pie mat.  Pecan Pie is a new “Core” color – a “core” color is one of our main families of color – so…NOT an In Color!  In the case of Pecan Pie – it’s in the Neutrals family.

Next, I adhered a piece of new-design Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP in Lost Lagoon (another new”Core” color)…

…to a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used the branch image in Little Monkey to stamp all over the panel in Early Espresso ink.  I colored the branch with my new Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends – and the leaves with my Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.

Then I used the RETIRING-SOON Rectangular Postage Stamp punch to cut out three pieces.

I adhered the three punched pieces to the matted DSP panel using Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a length of white Baker’s Twine twice around the panel – securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.  Then I adhered the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then it was time to make a barrel of monkeys!  And a few bananas! 🙂

Here’s how:

– I stamped the banana image three times in Early Espresso on a piece o Basic White.  Then I colored them with the Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with the Little Monkey Builder Punch (bundled with the Little Monkey set and available on 2 May!).

– I punched out three monkeys from Pecan Pie cardstock.

– I punched out six little “ears” from Crumb Cake cardstock and used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere the ears to the punched out monkeys.

– I punched out three “faces” from Crumb Cake cardstock, and colored each face with my Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends (yep – another new Core color!!).  Then I stamped the “face” image in Early Espresso ink and adhered one to each of the three monkeys with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the three monkeys to the card front.

I added the bananas with Liquid Glue and adhered three Clay Copper 2023-2025 In Color Dots (I LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!) to the card front.

I tied a white Baker’s Twine bow around the wrapped twine and..the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the branch image from Little Monkey in Early Espresso and colored it with my Clay Copper and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pecan Pie mat and then into my Clay Copper card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Little Monkey branch on the front…

…and more of the Lost Lagoon Subtles 6″ x 6 DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – I confess that I wasn’t all that enamored with this bundle when I first saw it but…y’all, the Little Monkey – and the bundled Little Monkey Builder Punch – is just so stinkin’ cute!  I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to play with the stamped and punched images – and the cute sentiments, too – don’t you?!  🙂

I’m already in love with our new Core colors and the 2023-2025 In Colors – and I even really like the new patterns for the color DSPs! I’m so excited for you to be able to get all the things on 2 May 2023!! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Wayne and the Man went over t0 Jan’s a couple days ago so Wayne could retrieve a tool.

I think they were there for…15 min??

I hear that Finn raced and galloped and carried on – all by himself – for…about 5 of those minutes.  Then…too hot!

The next morning – I got up and opened the kennel door like I always do and then headed into the kitchen.

About an hour later….I see…he’d barely wiggled, let alone GOTTEN UP! 😂

He kicked his own pantaloonies!!

😂😂

Just TOOO tired to get up, Mom!!
