Stampin’ Up! Rejoice in Him Radiating Stitches Easter Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday from the land of pollen and rain!  Hope hope HOPING that the rain will knock the pollen down some – of course, it’s ALSO bringing chilly weather again so…whatevs!! It’s soon going to be full blown Spring and THAT is what we southerners wait for!!

My card today is a true celebration of Easter – which is just around the corner.  You’ve still got time to get those cards made and…you might want to try this one with the Rejoice in Him stamp set and…the new Radiating Stitches die set (from the Online Exclusives!).  Take a look-see:

I was inspired to make an Easter card by the calendar.  AND by the challenge over at The Paper Players! 🙂

I started by cutting out 13 Gray Granite hearts using the little heart die in the Radiating Stitches die set.  I adhered 12 of them to the front of a Gray Granite card base using Liquid Glue.  Tip:  Adhere the four corner hearts first – nestled right up in the corners about as far as they can go!  Then add the hearts in between. And – you don’t need hearts right in the middle – cuz it’ll be covered by the art panel. 😉

Using the two largest frame dies in Radiating Stitches, I cut out a Basic White frame – which I adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Gray Granite cardstock, I stamped the Jesus image from Rejoice in Him in Early Espresso ink.  Then I colored it in white and Gorgeous Grape.  I added a few drops of each RE-INKER to an acrylic block and then “painted” the image with a Blender Pen.  Tip:  the white ink will fade as it dries – so you’ll want to add a couple of “coats” – or be a little heavy handed with it to start – and be sure to give it plenty of time to dry.

I colored His entire robe with the white, then added the Gorgeous Grape over that – to tone the purple down a smidge. 🙂

When it was all colored and good and dry, I used the smallest Radiating Stitches die to cut it out.  I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the 13th die cut heart near the bottom of the panel with a little Liquid Glue.  Then I added a simple bow, tied from two lengths of Gray Granite Baker’s Twine using a little dab of Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock, I stamped the Rejoice in Him sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

When the embossing powder was cool, I cut the sentiment out with the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle dies and adhered it with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I added a single white Enamel Dot Essentials.

On a piece of Gray Granite cardstock, I stamped the sweet Rejoice in Him dove in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder and heat set it.  When cool, I cut out the image with my Paper Snips.

I adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional – and the card front was done.

On the inside, I heat embossed a second sentiment and the cool frond (I really love this frond!!) in white on a Gray Granite panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Gorgeous Grape mat and then into the Gray Granite card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Rejoice in Him dove in Gray Granite on the front…

Et Voila!  Boy, I really love the Rejoice in Him stamp set – the images are…perfect.  And so are the sentiments – heartfelt and written in a beautiful font!  And – I know it’s only been on the street for a week or so but…the Radiating Stitches Die Set is FAST becoming a go-to staple tool for me!!  And…I totally think YOU need it, too!  😎😎😎
