Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a great sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I combined the new Irresistible Blooms bundle (an Online Exclusive that just released yesterday!) with an old fave from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, the gorgeous Awash in Beauty DSP, to make a quick, easy, clean and simple little card for you! Take a look-see:
And here’s our sketch for the hop!
I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week. I went across the top (Bright colors – blog sentiment – Spring) and on the diagonale (Spring – Free – Die Cut)
I also worked with the Just Us Girls challenge!
And this is definitely a layered shape so…TGIF Challenge worked perfectly!
I started by adhering a piece of Awash in Beauty DSP to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base using Liquid Glue.
Next, I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock in the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Then I stamped the splatters image from Irresistible Blooms a few times in Daffodil Delight and matted the panel on Polished Pink cardstock. I adhered the matted panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the two leaf images from Irresistible Blooms in Granny Apple Green and then cut them out with the matching die in the bundled Irresistible Blooms die set. I also cut one of each of the three detailed leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the smaller flower from Irresistible Blooms in Basic Gray ink. I colored it with the Dark Daffodil Delight and Light/Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the Irresistible Blooms die.
I adhered the flower to the card front with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals – clustered in the middle of the flower. Then, using Liquid Glue, I tucked the leaves under the flower.
I punched a banner end in a Basic White cardstock strip using the Banners Pick a Punch and stamped the Irresistible Blooms sentiment in Polished Pink. Then I added some faux stitches using the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker.
I tucked the sentiment under the flower using Liquid Glue.
I added some Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds and the card front was done.
On the inside, I kept it simple, stamping the sweet Irresistible Blooms three-leaf image in Granny Apple Green on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Polished Pink mat and into my Granny Apple Green card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Irresistible Blooms leaves on the front…
…and more Awash in Beauty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This new Irresistible Blooms bundle is so pretty – the flowers are emmintently colorable and there’s plenty of pretty leaves to tuck here and there! And the font of the sentiments – is gorgeous! The Awash in Beauty DSP is simply stunning and makes me ready for Spring!
I hope you like!
