Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Petal Park Sneak Peek Celebration Card with Video Tutorial

Good Sunday morning!  I’m not even going to remind you that we’re at C-7 (that’s Christmas minus 7 days, in case you were wondering!).  If you don’t have all your shopping done…I wish you luck, my friend!  Or…I wish you a handy Gift Certificate!! 😉  I can help with that!  Get Gift Certificates for Stampin’ Up! product right here! Or…scroll down and print off a Paper Pumpkin Gift Certificate – and give someone you love the gift of creative fun with a subscription to Paper Pumpkin!  See?  I’ve got your six!! 😉

Today’s card takes us back to the new Sentimental Park bundle and Regency Park DSP.  I didn’t plan on using this bundle quite so quickly – since I’d just recently posted this card – but…I just couldn’t help it – we “discovered” a “thing” last Thursday on my Zoom the Craftroom and I just needed to share it with you!  For this card, I added some pretty posies from the Petal Park bundle!  Take a look-see:

The soft and sweet color palette hails from the Color Throwdown challenge this week!

I started by adhering a panel of the pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP onto the front of a Thick Basic White card base using Liquid Glue.  Y’all – this paper is SOO pretty – and you get 48 sheets – 4 each of 12 2-sided designs in a pack!  That’s a lot of wunnermusness  Yeah!

Next up – I used the fourth-from-largest wide Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, which I embossed in the cool new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder (also in the Jan – Apr 2023 Mini – and available on 5 Jan 2023!).  I adhered the embossed piece to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using a strip of Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a loop-de-doop of Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon onto the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used two sentiment stamps from the Sentimental Park stamp set to stamp the phrase “let’s celebrate” in Balmy Blue ink and then “YOU” in Petal Pink!  I used the un-ardorned label die from Sentimental Park to cut it out.

Then I used the larger floral label die in the Sentimental Park die set to cut a Balmy Blue label from a piece of new Textured Shimmer 12″ x 12″ Paper.

And then comes…the “thing”!  👀 👀👀

The unadorned label die – when cut out – slips into the corners of that pretty floral die cut – the “slits” are cut by the die as it cuts the rest of the label.  Like…an uber-sweet picture corner!

I know.  Too cute!

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the label over the ribbon on the card front.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the three-flower outline image from Petal Park twice in Balmy Blue ink.  Then I stamped the “step-two” fill image in Petal Pink and punched both sets out using the bundled Petal Park Builder Punch.

I stacked a small flower on a large one with Liquid Glue – leaving a medium flower leftover.  I adhered those to the left side with Liquid Glue.

The other three flowers are all stacked with Liquid Glue and adhered on the right of the label.

I used small flower dies from the Sentimental Park die set to cut some gold flowers from new Fine Shimmer Paper and a few Balmy Blue flowers from the same Textured Shimmer Paper I used before.  The gold flowers are adhered to the stamped flower centers with Liquid Glue – and the Balmy Blue flowers adhered on the right side of the label – slipped under the larger flowers.

I added a Balmy Blue Iridescent Pastel Gem to the center of each stamped flower and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the large two-step leaves image from Petal Park to stamp the outline AND fill in Balmy Blue ink on a Basic White panel.  Then I used the three-flowers image to add the Balmy Blue outline and Petal Pink fill.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and then to the inside of the Thick Basic White cardstock and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Balmy Blue leaves and Petal Pink flowers on the front…

…and more of the pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – the Regency Park Suite is so beautiful!  The Petal Park and Sentimental Park bundles work together like Simon & Garfunkel!  The coordinating Regency Park DSP is…wunnermus! 🙂 And you are FOR SURE going to want the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder when it – and all these goodies! – become available on 5 Jan 2023! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Night before last, we realized that we’d forgotten to bring a water bottle out to the barn with us – for Finn to carry on our walk.

Now – we have no actual NEED to have a bottle carried around and brought back to the house, but… it’s a lot easier to keep him focused on the “mission” – and not so interested in all the distractions.  Real or imagined. 😉

So – Wayne (being a smart dude) – “gave” him the end of the collar strap and told him to take it to the house.

And – he did!

As usual – he carried it into the house and waited for us to “take” it from him.

So he could “complete” the mission and get his half-cookie!

He’s such a funny little man!

  1. Such a cute card! Love the little flower punches and that die set is awesome!! Ha! Glad that you were able to have Finn take something to the house…even if it was himself! Bet he wondered who was pulling on his collar the entire time too. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – I’m sure it’s confusing! But – he’s carried that collar like that since he was little! It’s one of his funnier little things! 🙂 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Kate

    Very pretty!
Adaptability. Highly under rated virtue. You go, Finn!
